Although there are not many tapas bars in the Barrio Sacromonte, it is worth a visit to see the picturesque white caves set into the hillside with views of the Alhambra.
The Sacromonte is between the Albaicín and the Alhambra and follows the course of the River Darro. It is home to flamenco and famous for its caves. There are a number of flamenco clubs with daily performances.
There are a few tapas bars where you can sit and watch the world go by, and also a cave museum with exhibits showing how people used to live (INFO). The Sacromonte Abbey is also worth a visit (INFO).
You can either walk or catch the C31 bus from Plaza Nueva to the Peso de la Harina. The C34 bus has several stops on the Camino del Sacromonte and also goes up to the Sacromonte Abbey but is less frequent.
