Flights to GRANADA airport
There are now direct flights from Luton (UK) to Granada Airport with Wizz Air.
Cheaper flights are available to Málaga and because it is so easy to get from Málaga to Granada (see this page for more information), it is better to fly there and travel by bus (or train or taxi) to Granada.
Two websites for comparing flights and for finding the best flight combinations between two destinations are SKYSCANNER and OMIO.
Granada airport info:
The airport is located about 17 km outside the city of Granada. The airport code is GRX. It takes about 30 minutes by road from the center of Granada. See this page for more information.
Airport transfer:
A taxi should cost between 30-35 €. It is also possible to book an airport transfer in advance using this website AIRPORT TRANSFER.
Airport bus:
There is a frequent airport bus service and the buses tie in with the arrivals. The bus costs 3.10€ and there are several stops in the centre of Granada. The most central stop is the stop on the Gran Vía next to the Cathedral. If you are going to Plaza Nueva, it's a good idea to get off at this stop.

Taxi:
If you don't want to walk through the streets with your luggage you can get a taxi which costs approx 35 euros. It is also possible to use UBER and other taxi apps. For more information about getting around Granada CLICK HERE.
Internal flights within Spain:
Cheap airlines such as VUELING have driven the prices down so there are now many bargain flights to other Spanish cities such as Barcelona and Madrid. A good site to search for them is SKYSCANNER.
(Tip: When there is a flight from outside Spain with a connecting flight from Madrid/Barcelona to Granada, they often lose your luggage and you will normally receive it the next day. It is therefore a good idea to pack any essential items in your hand luggage.
Flights to MÁLAGA airport
Málaga airport is 125km from Granada. It takes 90 minutes to drive from Málaga to Granada. The best way to get to Granada is by public transport. There are now several direct buses from Málaga airport to Granada bus station each day. The journey takes about 150 minutes.
If you arrive at another time, it is faster to catch a bus from Málaga airport to Málaga bus station, and then catch a bus to Granada.
There are buses to MÁlaga bus station every 30 minutes and the journey takes 30 minutes. It is neccessary to buy your ticket before boarding the bus from the ticket office directly outside the arrivals hall. The price of a single ticket is 4 €.
There are buses to Granada every hour. The journey takes about 2 hours. It is difficult to get to Granada after 21:00. A taxi from Málaga to Granada costs around 150€ - 180€.
When you come out of arrivals, go straight on and you will come to the bus stop.
