The cave as a dwelling
María brought up five children in the caves. This feat is even more surprising when you realise that in the early days the caves did not have electricty nor modern plumbing. If you visit the cave you will be able to see the living areas. On the right you can see the kitchen. |
Enrique, the son of María la Canastera manitains the cave as a museum. Although he no longer actually lives in the cave, it is where he was brought up and where he learned the art of flamenco from his mother. |
