Good things about accomodation:We loved our holiday in Granada and found plenty of places to visit during the week. It is a lovely city to wander around and absorb the culture, history and architecture etc. The staff in the tourist information offices were extremely helpful, as were the staff in the Alhambra shop in the city centre.
Complaints about accomodation:No. We liked the apartment very much and found it very clean, comfortable and a relaxing place to return to after our sight-seeing.It was very conveniently located for the centre of the city, whilst also being in a relatively quiet location.
Good bars and restaurants:We made two visits to the Alhambra as it is so magnificent and beautiful. We enjoyed a lovely visit to the Alpujarra region - Bubion was a lovely village. We would recommend the Teide restaurant and a visit to the artisan weaver there - the most beautiful fabrics. We found several lovely restaurants during the week and would suggest that the best food and value is to be found just off the main squares and streets.
Bad experiences in Granada:We had only pleasant experiences and found everyone to be welcoming and helpful to tourists.
Suggestions:If travelling to/from Malaga airport by bus be sure to book your return tickets in good time as direct buses are few. Seats can be reserved at a travel agents - the one we visited was most helpful.
Granadainfo comments:I don't agree with the bus comments. There are lots of buses and the best place to book is here. http://alsa.es

Good things about accomodation:The apartment is huge and cheap. The location is close to Plaza Nueva and bus to Alhambra and Albicin. Nearby small market (Sol)
Complaints about accomodation:More explanation on how to use equipment such as the washing machine
Suggestions:If have bad knee or bringing small children to Alhambra or Albycin, the taxi or bus is recommended as it is steep walk with small walk ways. Taxi only cost EU4-5 from city to Alhambra. Buy Alhambra ticket online, and pick up at ticket office, as the line is long there and visit to Nasyrid Palace is timed and limited

Room or apartment: Ganivet 2D
Good things about accomodation:The location could not have been better: bus-stop at the door; Tourist Info and El Corte Ingles only 5 minutes walk away; 10 minutes walk to the Cathedral and most of the central historic sites except the Alhambra.
Complaints about accomodation:The website is superb. The Instructions to reach the Garages and the apartment were exemplary. Unfortunately, they were sent long after I had started my journey, and tho I could access them with my Netbook, I could not print them. Why not send them routinely with confirmation of booking?
Good bars and restaurants:With the Gourmet Food Section of El Corte Ingles and the self-catering facilities of the apartment, who needs restaurants?
Bad experiences in Granada:Not in that sense, but I have never been in a city where almost every religious centre of interest demands a significant entrance fee.
Granadainfo comments:We do send the arrival instructions with the confirmation?????? and then again 3 days before arrival.

Good things about accomodation:I loved our convenient location, beautiful apartment and helpful staff. Also, its so easy to book and they are quick to respond.
Complaints about accomodation:Wi-fi that reaches the higher floors.
Good bars and restaurants:Gelatto everywhere! Try a new flavor every day.
Suggestions:Get the Granada tourist card (Bono Turistico). We got a 3 day pass and we were able to go to Alhambra, the science museum, the catheral, and use the bus passes! Also very easy to do day trips to Cordoba and Seville using the Alsa buses from the bus station.

Room or apartment: Tomillo 2D
Good things about accomodation:The location was ideal - an easy walk to all the sights, and with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars in the immediate neighborhood. We appreciated the mod cons - modern kitchen and bathroom, ac and Internet. Eduardo was very helpful.
Good bars and restaurants:El Piano, near the university, is a health food store and deli with a big selection of international takeout food that is not only vegetarian but also dairy and gluten-free. A great place for vegetarians!

Room or apartment: Lavanda ATB
Good things about accomodation:The room exceeded our expectations in every respect. Although fairly pricy, it was well worth it. We had a private patio on the upper floor with view of the Alhambra. The neighboring building was a 16th century church. We could soak up the essence of Espana from our apartment!
Complaints about accomodation:The kitchen was adequately stocked but there was no oven and the refrigerator was a small "dorm" type.
Good bars and restaurants:The people of Granada enjoy their evening stroll (paseo). Embrace the siesta and stay out late with the locals.

Complaints about accomodation:Very good accomodation which fitted our needs. It would have been good to have been provided with an oven and a dishwasher.

Good things about accomodation:We very much enjoyed staying in your accommodation. The equipment shows a great love for detail - it was easy to feel at home. The apartment is right in Granada's center although it is located away from the main roads. Had a great week and would love to come again.
Bad experiences in Granada:No bad experiences were made.
Suggestions:This is just a tiny little detail... missed some books in the book shelf :))) Txxx for all - Uta
