Good things about accomodation:The view from the accommodation is amazing and the location of our stay was very central close to all amenities and tourist spots. Nadia our hostess was very friendly and helpful although her English was extremely limited.
Good bars and restaurants:We enjoyed the food at the Indian restaurant Mogal 2 in Plaza Neuvea. All of the historical attractions are amazing and Alhambra deserves special mention.
Bad experiences in Granada:One of the the tour guide of Six thrills gave us wrong information that the bus card can be used for more than once in a single journey. She also said if we surrender our bus card we will get a refund which all turned out to be untrue!
Suggestions:The tourist office staff on the hill in Plaze Neuvea were not warm and just did the minimum. They could be a bit more welcoming & friendly.

Good things about accomodation:Casa Naima is a lovely little house in Albaicín. This is a district of small alleys and small historic houses, so space is at a premium, but I really enjoyed its cosy intimacy, the direct view of the Alhambra from the lounge and, of course, the small but magnificent roof-top terrace.
Complaints about accomodation:A couple of suggestions - Nadia told me I should keep the door to the terrace shut to stop the cats coming in, which I did. Nevertheless, there was often a smell of what I presume was cat pee around that door area. I supposed it came from the cats using the terrace and perhaps there could be a way to discourage them. I liked the little bathroom; the area to shower in is a bit of a squeeze but I was happy to accept that as part of living in a historic old house.
Good bars and restaurants:I'd certainly recommend walking in the hills above and behind the Alhambra, to various lookout points, and up past Sacromonte and the Abadía on the opposite side of the valley, for huge vistas and stunning views of the Sierra Nevada and surrounding countryside. I'd also recommend taking a 20-minute bus trip to Monachil, for great walks in the foothills of Sierra Nevada.
Bad experiences in Granada:None whatsoever. All my contacts - with Granadainfo, the owner, Artur, and the key-keeper, Nadia - went very smoothly. Many thanks.

Good things about accomodation:With regard to the property itself, we found it very well equipped, nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable, and the views to the Alhambra (from either the Lounge/Dining Room or the Terraza) a particular joy. Its proximity to places of interest, including of course the Alhambra and restaurants, tourist information sources, etc., was a big plus. We also found the staff at the Alhambra ticket office on Calle Reyes Catolicos to be most gracious and helpful.
Complaints about accomodation:We found the arrangement of the bath/shower under the staircase to be most awkward and unsatisfactory.
Good bars and restaurants:We enjoyed 2 dinners and a lunch at La Cueva restaurant on Calle Reyes Catolicos during our short stay. It was within easy walking distance of the accommodation, and had an extensive menu to cater for a variety of tastes (whether a la carte or tapas) and friendly and attentive staff.

Good things about accomodation:The location is fabulous and we got a real thrill being able to see the grandeur of the Alhambra from the lounge room and the terrace and seeing the rooftop terrace from the Watchtower whenwe visited the Alhambra. The girls who welcomed us were very helpful and and friendly and provided good information.
Complaints about accomodation:For English speaking guests a simple guide for using the television would useful.
Consideration could also be given to describing that the walk up to the house from Cafe Lisbou is quite steep and when arriving with luggage this walk is quite challenging.
Good bars and restaurants:The Sevilla bar and restaurant near the Cathedral was excellent.
Suggestions:Our best advice would be make your bookings for the Alhambra on the internet as far in advance as you can.

Good things about accomodation:Naima has limited english but we managed to get everything sorted. Wonderful to have a small selection of household items such as clothes detergent and such. Also received great service from Sarah at Granadainfo when I needed assistance to connect with Naima.
Complaints about accomodation:Just a note to say that if you have any mobility issues you may have difficulty getting to the house and moving around within. Cases have to be carried as the surface is not suitable for wheels. House is on three main levels and the must use rooftop patio is a real climb to negotiate, but worth the effort
Good bars and restaurants:Oh Granada and its free tapas with an alcoholic drink. Don't drink? Try cerveza sin. Non alcoholic beer. A great alternative. Some places are better than others and the seafood places are not happening on a Monday. I participated in two of the extended tours run by the Alhambra organisation one looking at the aspect of how water was manipulated the other on the architectural aspects of the site through the ages. Both very well run and the guides were excellent. The night viewings are also recommended.
Suggestions:The Cathedral is worth a visit and there are many other interesting buildings to see. Just wondering through the maze of streets with no care is also surprisingly relaxing.

Good things about accomodation:As mentioned above, the accommodation was lovely, and my friend and I both thought that Granada was the highlight of our trip to Spain. It is a charming town, surrounded by mountains, and the Alhambra and its gardens lived up to our expectations absolutely.
Complaints about accomodation:We were very happy with the accommodation. It is a lovely apartment, and even though I had seen the photographs on the internet, it still came as a surprise when I went onto the patio to find such a perfect unbroken view of the Alhambra. The apartment is tastefully decorated and centrally located. We were happy and I certainly recommend it.
Good bars and restaurants:Apart from the Alhambra, Granada itself is lovely and we enjoyed just walking in the streets and upriver. There is also a stunning view from the Mirador...similar to the view from the apartment but a bit higher so you also see the mountains in the distance.
Suggestions:We found people friendly and helpful and the directions to the square were easy to follow. We were met on time by Nadia who, despite the language barriers, was very helpful.

Good things about accomodation:We loved the central location. We loved the view and the interesting decor. We liked the reading material. The kitchen was well-equipped (salt, pepper, honey, washing powder etc).
Good bars and restaurants:We recommend the flamenco shows at the Chien Andalou on Calle Darro (no. 7) which was a 5 minute walk and inexpensive (6 euros).
The atmosphere of the Albaicin (upper areas especially) was magnificent.
Bad experiences in Granada:We found everyone very honest and helpful.

Complaints about accomodation:The bed was rather hard and the pillow was very thin. An sun umbrella for the roof would be good. The CD player did not work.

Good things about accomodation:We loved the apartment. It is in a great location and not only was it very comfortable, but the view of the Alhambra make it a magnificent place to stay. We hope to come back some day.
Good bars and restaurants:Of course you should tour the Alhambra. We also hike in the Sierra Nevada which we highly recommend. But just walking through the very historic streets fo Granada is something everyone should do. We also recommend going to the Museum of the Cave Homes.
Bad experiences in Granada:We had a great experience with everyone and everywhere we went in Granada.

Good things about accomodation:We loved Naimas apartment and regretted having to leave after only two nights. Nadia, the lady who met us and showed us to the apartment was an absolute gem. GRACIAS NADIA!
Complaints about accomodation:Very close to perfect. Only the addition of a computer, connected to the internet, would make the place utterly perfect.
Good bars and restaurants:A walk around the Albaicyn district is a must. There are so many places serving good food, it's hard to recommend one in particular.
Bad experiences in Granada:No bad experiences at all. Granada felt relaxed and safe and the people very friendly.

Good things about accomodation:Staying in the Albaicin and the view of the Alhambra from the terrace is what it's all about and it more than lived up to expecations.
Complaints about accomodation:Everything was fine in the apartment.
We would have found it helpful to have some information about nearby food shops.
Good bars and restaurants:The Puerta del Carmen in Plaza del Carmen was excellent. A bit pricey but worth it for the quality of the food, the wine list and the atmosphere.
Bad experiences in Granada:No bad experiences, just disappointingly cool weather.
Suggestions:We couldn't find a corkscrew so we hope you found the one we left in the draw!

Good things about accomodation:Everything was wonderful at Naima's house. The furnishings and provisions took care of all our needs.
Complaints about accomodation:There should have been some way of contacting Naima from the apartment. There was no phone and we don't have a mobile phone. So the only way we could have reached them was to walk to the Plaza Nueva and use a pay phone.
Good bars and restaurants:We liked the friendliness and food at the Antigua Bodega Castaneda. And wonderful seafood at Restaurant Cunini.

Good things about accomodation:we visit the alhambra in the sun and rain. it never disappoints. cicerone provides an informed, amiable tour.
Complaints about accomodation:no complaints. it is a well-equipped apartment - everything you need for cooking and making coffee in the morning, and a wonderful small terrace with a splendid view; convenient location. the tiny shower, which required some agility, had plenty of hot water. the rain kept us from opening the windows and we wished there had been more sun so we could take full advantage of the place.
Good bars and restaurants:we liked cafe lisboa for coffee and pastries in the morning, the parador restaurant served a fine lunch; we enjoyed chikito for sunday dinner; restaurante campanario off bib rambla, and antiqua bodega castaneda both had good food and good service.

Good bars and restaurants:The Alhambra at night was well worth a visit. We also enjoyed our time in the Hammam Banos Arabes, and on the last day we hired a scooter and went up into the Sierra Nevada - we had amazing views, and the air was lovely and cool!
Bad experiences in Granada:Granada seemed bursting full of tourists (we were tourists too, of course) when we were there in August - so it might be better to go in the autumn or spring.
