SHARED FACILITIES:
The apartment is located in an apartment complex called LAS GONDOLAS. There are two apartment blocks with a 24-hour reception and private car park. There are also two swimming pools (one for adults and one for children), two tennis courts, a basketball court and an Internet room.
The swimming pools are open all year and there is a lifeguard during the summer months.

The tennis courts are also open all year (9:00-21:00) and cost 2€/hour.

Internet: there is WIFI in most of the building which can be temperamental but it almost always works in the reception and there is also an Internet room in the other building with a permanent cable connection.
CLIMATE:
Almuñécar enjoys a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers: average temperatures range between 12ºC in January and 26ºC in August.

PARKING:
It is usually possible to park outside the apartments or in a secure carpark behind the apartments. You will be given the key for this carpark when you arrive. It can be difficult to park at times in July/August and it might be necessary to wait before finding a parking space.

To book the apartment, it is necessary to pay 25% of the total price in advance. The remainder is paid when you arrive.
Pets not accepted.
Bedding and towels are included in the price.

LOCATION:
Almuñécar is a lively Spanish town and is the perfect place for a beach holiday with its many Spanish/international bars and restaurants. Almuñecar is ideally located and is approximately 75 minutes (85km) from Malaga airport and 40 minutes (50km) from Las Alpujarras. With the new motorway linking Motril and Granada, it now only takes 45 minutes to drive to Granada (80km) and so it is possible to visit Granada for the day.
The apartment is on the 9th floor of LAS GONDOLAS apartments which are only 100 metres from the beach.

By the way, if you have ever read "As I woke up one midsummer morning" by Laurie Lee (more info), Almuñécar is where he spends the winter towards the end of the book. He renames Almuñecar "Castillo" in the book after.
