This is not the official web page
of the Yedra restaurant. It is an independent review based on several
visits to the restaurant. The prices and information was correct
in Ocober 2002 but since then the prices and content of the menus
have probably changed.
Welcome to the Yedra
Restaurant webpage
The Yedra is a high quality restaurant
with a price range to suit all pockets. It is ideally located for visitors
to Granada and the Alhambra, a stone's throw away from the entrance to
the Generalife and 50 metres from the official Alhambra car park (see
map below). The restaurant offers a variety of typical Spanish food which
is served in a pleasant open air patio.
The location on the map
Note that due to the new traffic restrictions
it is no longer possible for private cars to use the Cuesta Gomerez. To
get to the Alhambra by car, it is necessary to go along the "circumvalación"
(ring road) and follow the signs to the Alhambra. The restaurant has just
been totally refurbished and there is not yet even a good sign which says
"La Yedra". It is next to the Hotel Guadalupe and you will see
it as you come up from the car park.

The photo below is of the staff. I
am sure that they will offer you the very best in Spanish food and hospitality.
Pepe has promised to invite you to a free drink with your meal if you
mention that you have seen this webpage. In fact Pepe the owner (far left)
loves to hear that you have seen his restaurant on internet. La Yedra
was the first restaurant in Granada to have a web page back in 1997. The
waiters speak a little English in case you don't wish to practise your
Spanish. By the way "yedra" means "ivy" in Spanish.
