Good things about accomodation:La ubicación para ir al Carmen de los Chapiteles a la boda, era inmejorable. En Granada los turistas tenemos el inconveniente de no poder acercar el coche y las rampas con maletas se hacen difíciles.
Good bars and restaurants:No hemos tenido tiempo

Good things about accomodation:El alojamiento no podía estar mejor situado.

Good things about accomodation:Everything positive I read about Sarah's place and service is correct. Sarah is very quick and helpful via text, and I felt I could text her anytime for advice. Sarah also gave us tips before we even arrived. She also went above and beyond by arranging a check-in that corresponded with our train and taxi arrival time. The gal who checked us in gave us restaurant recommendations. Very nice solid service all around. The location was just a dream with the view of the Granada above from a bedroom and from the dining room, and the little plaza with quiet activity right outside our front door, and occasional guitarists. The location was also very convenient as it was only a short walk to central, and right at the foot of the Albaician neighborhood. The apartment itself enhance the cultural feeling as it was built in the 1800's with a central atrium and architecture of that time, plus decorated in keeping with historical pictures which was interesting. The ceilings were high so never stuffy. There were double windows, so, though the noise was not disturbing, one could close both windows and be completely sound insulated. Slept really really well.

Good things about accomodation:Everything perfect, including the quality of accommodation, services, communication with Sarah, location, accessibility, check-in/out conditions. Perfect. Maybe the photos slightly differ from the actual colors of the flat, but that is the only imperfection we have found so far. Sarah is great host.

Good things about accomodation:This apartment is in a fabulous location, right at the foot of the Alhambra giving you spectacular views - even better at night when it is lit up. The area is very central, you can walk everywhere including up the path to the Alhambra - which is steep but only took us about 15 minutes. The apartment is spacious, quiet, well serviced and full of ambience. Communication with Sarah was easy and check in was seamless.

Good things about accomodation:This historic house has an awesome view up to the Alhambra! Even in cold winter, we could leave the shutters open to keep the view and stay warm and cozy because of the well-insulated glass doors. Although the apartment is older, the kitchen is modernized and had everything we needed. We appreciated the coffee and tea, but would have liked a hairdryer as well since our voltage is different than Spain’s. We parked in Severo Ochoa parking and took a taxi to the apartment. Getting into the house was easy and Sarah was very helpful. There is a shortcut to the Alhambra and it’s easy to walk to everything from the apartment.

Good things about accomodation:We had an amazing time in Granada and Sarah was a great hostess! Her apartment was in a perfect location. Our view was that of the Alhambra. Anything that we needed Sarah took care of right away. She made our check-in easy and gave us great directions on approaching her place, on parking as we drove to Granada and anything else that we needed to know to make our check-in process a pleasant one. We traveled with an infant and she even made sure we had a travel crib for the baby. Highly recommend this apartment and thank you Sarah for a memorable experience!

Good things about accomodation:Great location and views, good character, clean, secure, and could get a decent through breeze on hot days.
Complaints about accomodation:Fridge wasn't cold enough.
Good bars and restaurants:Al-hambra obviously and general architecture. Hammam baths were fabulous, Sacromante cave museum was better than we expected. Didn't have a bad meal, but little wine bar tucked behind the hotel at the top of Calle Colcha was great. Kids loved the tourist stalls on Calderaria Nueva and round the side of the Cathedral.

Good things about accomodation:The view on, and even more, the visit of the Alhambra was a real enchantment. Paseo de los Tristes 63 is a fine old house, in total harmony with the Albaicin. I hope to stay longer in that same apartment in the future if and when.
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints as such. This is a splendid house and we (my sons and I) enjoyed it very much. Let us say : shortcomings. We never could activate the wi-fi and neither did we succeed to operate the washing machine.
Good bars and restaurants:Taberna del Beso, Cuesta de las Arremangadas, 6 : very good food and wine ("Beso"), excellent service, hospitable and warm atmosphere.

Good things about accomodation:Of course a visit to Grenada must include a stroll through the Sacromonte gypsy quarter BUT sadly these days I think much better/ high quality/ authentic flamenco ( flamenco puro ) can be seen for a lot less at Casa del Artes Flamenco located about a block from Plaza Nuevo. It is a small setting , simple decor---but great flamenco performed by excellent local and visiting artists -- and at 18 euros it is very reasonable ( no drinks or food ) -- 1 hr with no intermission of great artistry!
Complaints about accomodation:The folks who manage Cerventes and at least one other place I have rented through them are great/professional/responsive . I will definitely rent through them again... I chose Cervantes this time because I wanted 1) a larger place-- Cervantes an easily sleep 6 and possibly eight but two beds are small and more suitable for a child or young adult 2) a view of the Alhambra-- especially dramatic at night from living room and one bedroom and 3) a place close/easily walkable to BOTH the tiny streets and views of the Albaicin AND Plaza Nueva which is especially animated after 10PM...The only minor "issue" and it was not real significant is I believe one of the near by cafes keeps cases of beverages, etc. in the building and they enter the building throughout the day and early evening and they slam the entry door loudly. Not great during your siesta! Still all in all Cervantes was a great place and I would return ...

Good things about accomodation:Amazing position for the apartment. Bar in the square very handy for day time use. Wonderful panorama of the Alhambra from the living room and one of the bedrooms. Beautiful old building in a fascinating area. Dramatic setting which looks over to the illuminated Alhambra walls and towers at night.
Complaints about accomodation:The hot water takes a long time to arrive at the sinks ans showers. But fine when you understand that you have time to make a cup of tea whilst you are waiting for the shower to warm up. Otherwise loved out stay . Conchi was very helpful and informative on arrival. Thanks.
Good bars and restaurants:Too many good bars and restaurants to list. Almost all were generous with their measures and complimentary tapas. Flamenco session was a treat. Science Park well worth a visit for all ages. The Alhambra was the jewel in the crown. Well worth organising your tickets in advance!
Bad experiences in Granada:No bad experiences. However the Tourist bus was a let down for the cost.
Suggestions:It is a bit of a hike from the nearest taxi drop off point to the apartment if trundling luggage. Otherwise a lovely walk.

Good things about accomodation:The location is fantastic - right below the Alhambra on the Paseo de los Tristes walking street. The building is traditional, built around a courtyard with columns. The apartment has high wood ceilings. We appreciated the good heating and double windows in the winter. There's also a decent kitchen, though we didn't use it during our short our two-night stay.
Complaints about accomodation:The interior of the apartment is spartan. There are a few ineresting prints on the wall in the living/dining area, but the interior was otherwise bare.
Good bars and restaurants:The Ruta del Azafran restaurant (just over a block away) rises above the typical tourist food with some creative choices. It's a bit more expensive than some, but worth it. We also loved the Marivi Cafe-Bar in the Albayzin, where we had breakfast on Saturday morning. We were the only non-Spaniards there.
Suggestions:I'm glad we found Granadainfo. It's well organized, and the staff were very helpful. They even provided special driving/parking directions for the apartment. (I should warn others that actually driving to and parking near the apartment is not for the faint of heart!)

Good things about accomodation:Meeting Conchi was a high point of our stay in Granada! She was charming, intelligent, beautiful, extremely friendly and very helpful, not only with answering our questions, but also with offering really good advice about how to live in Granada. The apartment's central location to the historical sites in Granada was a great advantage. We especially enjoyed sitting in the balcony window late at night, watching the Alhambra lit up. Wandering around the Albaycin and discovering beautiful houses, narrow streets, churches, miradors, etc, was a lot of fun. Visiting the Alhambra was the high point in our trip, I think.
Complaints about accomodation:We really liked everything about this apartment. If I had to think of any one thing that might improve it, I'd say a telephone for making local calls would have been convenient.
Good bars and restaurants:Seeing the Alhambra as early as possible in the morning, so as to allow the greatest amount of time there, is really important. Exploring beyond the Mirador de San Nicolas is important, too! There are a lot of different neighborhood within the Albaycin, and I'm glad we found the ones beyond San Nicolas (such as the neighborhood around San Bartolome and the Mirador de San Cristobal, for example). The ice cream at Los Italianos should not be missed. Leche merengada should not be missed!

Good bars and restaurants:We really liked the La Fontana Wine bar near the apartment.

Good things about accomodation:We liked our stay very much and would recommend the apartment. It has fantastic views to the Alhambra and is in a great location.
Complaints about accomodation:There is limited comfortable seating for the number of people the flat accommodates. The main seating is at the dining room table. That said, no one spends that much time in an apartment in central Granada. The bedroom at the front would make a great sitting room, but of course that would limit it to two bedrooms. The location of the apartment is excellent - as are the views. On practical matters, there are only 4 coffee mugs and no other coffee cups - more should be provided. A sharp knife would also be good. Wifi would have been good but we knew before we booked that it did not have it so absolutely no complaints but it has become more usual for apartments to have it.
Bad experiences in Granada:We had a problem with the hot water and heating day one which was attended to promptly by the owner.

Good things about accomodation:I love the apartment, because the traditional Ryad arrangement is very practical and also, for a short break, a very romantic and evocative experience. The simplicity and old-fashioned elegance of the fittings enhances this. Four our particular need (group of work colleagues) this worked well because there were two bathrooms and enough space for individual privacy.
Complaints about accomodation:Everything was great. One suggestion - a sharp kitchen chef's knife for slicing & cooking would be great. We were seriously challenged slicing up onion & aubergines and peppers! A CD player also would be good.
Good bars and restaurants:Casa Enrinco, Acera del darro (I think its the name)

Good things about accomodation:Our accommodation had a perfect location with a view of the Alhambra to enjoy in different lights throughout the day. Layout and furnishing of the apartment was great for our group of 6 - the large dining table served as a focus for us to gather after a hard day of sightseeing. Everything was within walking distance of the apartment however when we were too exhausted the little buses that ran up the street were great. Conchi had the apartment spotless and she was helpful and friendly. We loved our stay in Granada.
Complaints about accomodation:In general I really missed sharp knives in all of the accommodation we rented in Spain. Even providing a steel so that we could sharpen any knife that was present would be useful. This is a minor issue though.
Good bars and restaurants:Walking around the Albaicin, having a drink at a restaurant just below Mirador de San Nicolas enjoying the view and the air of excitement in the plaza, 31 bus trip through the Albaicin, don't miss the Alhambra - particularly the gardens.

Good things about accomodation:Superb cleaner, friendly, courteous, invited us to local event. Super location, right op Alhambra, lovely views, cafes below, quiet at night. Typically Spanish apartment.
Complaints about accomodation: One bedroom damp in corner probably due to the very heavy rain.

Good things about accomodation:The very best thuing about the appartment is the great view to Alhambra, in fact one could sit all day (and night) and just ejoyning the view :-). The appartment is very well located, near the city centre and a lot of restaurants, cafes and all rooms are well decorated and with plenty of space, incl. bathrooms and kitchen, and you really get the feeling of living in a palace when you enter through the gate, into the patio and goes up the old staircase.
Complaints about accomodation:The kitchen facilities could be better. The stove and the oven didn't work- to help this solve this problem the kitchen was provided with 2 gas camping gas burners, so we were able to do somme cooking. Some of the chairs are a little worn and could do with renewal.
Good bars and restaurants:We spend a whole day at the Science Museum, which is higly recommendable also a visit to the Sacromonte Cave Museum could be recommended. The teterias (tea-rooms)Boabdil (nearby) and Meknes (more crowded, near Plaza Nueva) is worth visiting. One of our best experiences was a visit to the Arab Bath near the church Santa Ana, very pleasant, relaxing and authentic, felt like being brought back to the moorish era.
Bad experiences in Granada:We didn't have any bad experiences at all. The town seems very peaceful and the people are very helpful and gentle
Granadainfo comments:The kitchen has been totally refitted in March 2010.

Good things about accomodation:The situation of the apartment was perfect. I don't think that this is advertised enough in your info. It is perfect for walking to all parts, from the science park to the Ahlhambra. Great cafes beneath the window all of which are really quiet. Very romantic views.
Complaints about accomodation:The cooker only had one ring which worked and the oven did not work.
Good bars and restaurants:Restaurants below were good, the kebab shop was excellent. Take the tourist bus to see how much there is to do. walk the back streets for atmosphere.Science museum, Cathedral, archaeological museum. Take the public buses out into the mountains.
Bad experiences in Granada:The only problems are dog mess and grafetti.
Suggestions:It is a lovely place to visit, the least hassle I have ever had on holiday.
