Good things about accomodation:We (a family of two adults and two children) had a great visit here. My daughters, aged 7 and 9, had a blast staying in the bunk-bed room. As locations in the Albaicin go, the house was very easy to find. And check-in was simple. Of course, be ready for hills in this neighborhood, and enjoy the lovely view towards the Alhambra from the balcony.
Good bars and restaurants:So many to choose from that it is difficult to name one.
Suggestions:Wear trainers!

Good things about accomodation:John’s place was super cute and spacious. The place was walking distance from all the main streets and museums and the view of the Alhambra was priceless. The host gave us suggestions on Flamenco shows and restaurant places to go visit. They were super responsive and accommodating with our plan travels. If you are visiting Granada you should definitely stay here!

Good things about accomodation:John’s apartment is located conveniently in the Albaicin area, and we walk everywhere. We love the view at the balcony of Alhambra and the Sacromote. We really appreciate, John and Sarah, was very prompt in helping us with our enquires on text messages. The apartment is 3-4 levels so be prepared to climb up and down a bit.

Good things about accomodation:We spent Christmas in John's house. My husband and I were traveling with our three young adult daughters so it was important to have enough room and privacy. There was definitely enough room between the 4 floors. Even in the shared room with loft beds there was enough personal space. The only minor downside was that the double room on the ground floor was a bit dark and crowded because it had a floor air conditioner in it. This did not bother our daughter at all but it might feel a bit crowded for a couple. I was worried that we would not be able to take advantage of the wonderful terraces because it was December but we spent a lot of time outside eating, reading and watching the sun sets. The view of the Alhambra is truly amazing! Getting to the meeting spot was complicated for us because we had a car and attempted to drop off our things before leaving it in a parking lot for the week. Google maps kept sending us down roads that were un-passable. Despite this confusion, Sarah was very helpful and unbothered by our multiple phone calls for help. If we had to do it again we would have heeded John's advice and parked the car first and taken a couple of taxis to the house with all our suitcases. All in all we had a wonderful, comfortable week in John's house.

Good things about accomodation:Casa Zaida is a fabulous place. Very quirky and with lots of original features. We all agreed it was our favourite house of our travels in Andalucia. Everything within easy walking distance, lots of local shops, bars and restaurants. Not forgetting off course the wonderful views to Alhambra from especially the top terrace. Stunning. John and Sarah were also very helpful giving tips and information before we arrived.

Good things about accomodation:The rooftop. That's a serious reason to stay at this place... you get a beautiful sunset view on a small roof w/ a few comfortable seats to watch the Alhambra. It was fantastic. Then you're also right in the middle of the old-town Granada... very neighborhood/local-like. A place with some character... the kitchen was amazing and were able to go to a store nearby and stock-up on food for 5 for a few days for under $25 (including wine and beer). We enjoyed our stay and would go again. The host sends instructions that you should read carefully before checkin since you're in an old neighborhood but it all worked out and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Good things about accomodation:Look no further-this place is amazing! This three story house is amazingly decorated, spacious and clean. Also the location is perfect. We loved this house so much that we loved staying in for siesta and just enjoying the space. The pictures truly do not do it any justice. There is a also 4th floor roof patio with the most amazing evening views of the alcazar. Also the check in process was easy and quick and the host was so responsive. Good things about accomodation:Casa Zaida is a charming traditional home in a most fascinating area of Grenada. Having stayed during a heat wave, we were most appreciative for the air conditioning during our afternoon siestas. The location is truly fantastic. We walked everywhere and the view of the Alhambra from the top terrace is breathtaking. Friends of ours who stayed at the Alhambra Palace Hotel did not have the views that we had! I am probably most grateful for John encouraging me to book our Alhambra tickets early. If I hadn’t followed his advice, I have no doubt that we would have missed out. And, John’s suggestions for local bars / cafes were spot-on. Grenada being a town of many interesting mazes to walk through made driving around it confusing. Fortunately, a quick call to Sarah sorted us out and before we knew it we were at the house (thank you Sarah!). Great location, great air con, great value – and exceptional views of the Alhambra!

Good things about accomodation:A lovely old house, with lots of character, in a great location in the Albaicin. 2 lovely terraces to eat and relax on, with sun most of the day, (but shade if required). Lovely view of the Alhambra from the upper terrace, particularly at night when the lights are on. All of the main attractions are within walking distance, although some require some uphill stamina. All in all, I would highly recommend Casa Zaida for a wonderful stay in Granada
Good bars and restaurants:We ate out in the Albaicin area each evening, with views across to the Alhambra from all. Not the cheapest, but the location, food and views were worth it. El Trillo was our favourite, but Las Tomasas,Carmen Mirador de Aixa, Carmen de Aben Humeya, and Mirador de Morayma were excellent as well

Good things about accomodation:The location is great for exploring central Granada and the Albaicin, and the apartment is off the street and surprisingly quiet. The views of the Alhambra from the upper deck were wonderful, but the main balcony was best feature of the apartment for us. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking a meal and enjoying it outside.
Good bars and restaurants:We enjoyed Zambra Maria la Canastera in Sacromonte, the Free Walking Tour, and El Hamman Baths
Suggestions:Wear comfortable shoes at all times!

Would like to stay here again and highly recommend John’s apartment. For those with heavy luggage, there are several stairs outside and inside of the apartment, may get a little tough to carrying luggage. Overall, we enjoyed our days there.

Good things about accomodation:Perfect location for exploring Granada on foot. View of the Alhambra from the top terrace is amazing. Having two bathrooms is also a bonus if there are 2 couples. Walking distance to a great variety of restaurants. Loved the narrow streets and the orange and lemon trees.
Good bars and restaurants:We ate in a variety of restaurants but our favourite was Bodegas Castaneda.Great tapas and so cheap. Minuit Bakery is great for bread and a coffee. The owner recommended that we eat in El Higo which is just across the square. Food is delicious - I had the beef cheek which was amazing. Great place, tucked out of the way. Staff are friendly.

Good things about accomodation:This is what I said on VRBO: I had excellent communication with the owner/manager of this house. Our jaws dropped when we walked in and the hits just kept on coming. Lots of wonderful tile, handsome design details and an exceptional neighborhood feel with a grand view. Like most places in the Albaicin neighborhood, it's a challenge to find and get to. So.. you better be able to climb a hill and manage a house with lots of stairs. If so, you will be rewarded. The place was clean and well-equipped. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the air conditioners. We mastered the washing machine and loved hanging our clothes on the line (and on the drying rack). Bathrooms excellent, terrace lovely, rooftop wonderful for the sunrise.
Good bars and restaurants:We loved the location: We walked up the hill for the wonderful view at the Mirador de San Nicolas (fun). It's also close to a sweet cafe (Rincon Cafe) that had a nice breakfast. Our mistake was looking for another place down the hill on our second morning... we should have gone back! We had an exceptional dinner (and amazing view) at the Mirador de Morayma, very close to the house. We didn't realize there was a whole neighborhood up the hill from us... next time we'll explore that.

Everybody we met was very friendly. The instructions regarding parking were very helpful and all directions were very clear. Thank you.
Good bars and restaurants:The Alhambra is outstanding. The tren turistico is very good. We enjoyed eating on the terrace of the Alhambra Palace Hotel. The cathedral is well worth a visit as are the shops nearby.
Bad experiences in Granada:None. Granada is more expensive for being a city.
Suggestions:Granada is an amazing place even in 39 degrees. The narrow streets and air conditioning at the house make the high temperatures much more acceptable.

Good things about accomodation:The highlight is the stunning view of the Alhambra from the top terrace. The house is lovely, romantic and well-equipped (e.g. great coffee-machine) and offers everything you need for a pleasant stay. We - a family of five - particularly appreciated two bathrooms.
Complaints about accomodation:A second key for the house would be good - when you travel with older kids who want to explore Granada at their own.
Good bars and restaurants:Albaízin is full of lovely and affordable Restaurants, bars and nice shops (including one with ecological products in Cuesta Alhacaba) - we did not fall in any "tourist traps" in this unique neighbourhood.
Bad experiences in Granada:If you park your car in the Severo Ochoa Parking (which is good and was 50 Euro for 5 days) it is not a good idea to walk to Casa Zaida with your luggage (even if you are desperately in need of fresh air and sun after the car trip from Malaga airport) ... the hills Streits of Albaízin are steep and really demanding!!!! Take a taxi to Peso de la Harina (as recommended by the owners)

There were also some ants in the living area and the shower at times plus what I think was a cockroach in the downstairs lobby during the night. Elisabeth gave us a very limited intro to the accommodation.
Good bars and restaurants:The Science Museum was very good for children and Granada Caja opposite very interesting. La Cartuja and San Geronimo monasteries were also very good.
Bad experiences in Granada:No. The taxi from and to the Bus Station was very good value as was the good public transport system

Good things about accomodation:We thought the house was lovely- roomy and comfortable with great views and an excellent location. It was well stocked. The aircon was a good feature plus the wifi. The showers and hot water supply were good and reliable. Communication and support from Granadainfo was prompt and extremely helpful and appreciated. The house was a very reasonable price. We all loved Granada. It's the most fabulous place to visit and the Alhambra of course has enless fascination, but the weather, numerous other sites to visit and friendly people all made it wonderful. There are numerous cafes and bars. Public transport requires some thought, especially as the bus station and train station are about a 45 min walk from the house, but travel is comfortable and quick.
Complaints about accomodation:We really liked the accommodation, but felt there were lots of little things which could be easily dealt with to make it excellent. It sounds a long list, but the only non trivial item was concern over not having a hand rail on the first flight of steps and on the stairs which gain access to the upper balcony. We felt there could be shelves in the left side bathroom, more pillows, an information book for how the aircon and hob and cd/radio work plus info about the local shops, banks, taxis, busesetc. I know a lot is online, but it's handy having a hard copy. We couldn't get the radio/cd player to work. The light on the lower balcony and on one bedside table in the double upper bedroom weren't working. We didn't bring matches, so it would have been useful to have some for the candles. Some of the balcony seats were unstable. All minor things which easily rectified.
Good bars and restaurants:There is a lovely Carmen by the Alhambra and Manuel de Halla's house is worth a visit.
Bad experiences in Granada:The cafe prices are similar to UK. We had very positive experiences in all aspects of our visit.
Suggestions:There is a vegan restaurant which we didn't manage to visit and most places have some vegetarian options, but it requires a bit of study. Very hot even at the start of Sept, so good covering and sun cream essential and avoid afternoons outside if possible. A multitude of lovely back streets and places of interest in them.

Good things about accomodation:The neighborhood was very scenic and fun to walk around. The Casa was the most original BnB of our trip, thanks in part to it's unique decor/design and historic setting. We enjoyed the both balconies, especially the rooftop viewpoint.
Complaints about accomodation:The power went out at one point, which we were able to quickly resolve with a phone call to the host. However, it would have been helpful to have known ahead of time what not to do in order to avoid loss of power.
Good bars and restaurants:We enjoyed the patio at Jardines de Zoraya and the Moroccan food at Arrayanes.
Granadainfo comments:If the power trips go into the downstairs bathroom. The fusebox is behind a picture. First unplug something then flip up the fuse that is in a different position to the others. This tends to happen about every 8 weeks.

Good things about accomodation:The contact and information from John and Sarah was top standard. The place does not however have many shops or restaurants right outside as we thought, it's a 10/15 min walk though.
Complaints about accomodation:The place is fairly clean, and has most of the amenities, but could probably do with a few improvements. The stairs leading to the top terrace are very unstable and felt dangerous, so my mother could not go up there at all.

Good things about accomodation:The patios were where we spent most of our time when in the apartment.
Complaints about accomodation:The stairs were a bit dodgy....but that is to be expected. Towels were very rough and had an off smell.Nothing too serious that did not really adversely effect our stay
Bad experiences in Granada:We purchased tickets for the hop-on,hop-on train. We specifically asked if we could use them on any day of our stay, the response was yes, so we completed the purchase. We jumped on the train a couple of days later, only to be rudely kicked off by the driver. We returned to the shop where we bought them, spoke to the woman who sold them to us and she denied ever saying we could use them any day of our stay. She would not issue a refund. I spent 48€ on the purchase and was looking for full or partial refund. She eventually stamped them to be valid for that day, but since it was 4 pm we did not use them at all. They were valid tickets and should have been honored, no questions asked.
Granadainfo comments:The hop-on,hop-on train ticket is only valid for one day.

Good things about accomodation:The location of the house is excellent. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The view is wonderful.
Suggestions:Be aware that there are a lot of stairs on the house. To get to the upper terrace and see the view, the stairs are very steep but so worth it.

Good things about accomodation:The top terrace view is truly spectacular. Our trip to the Alambra was worth the early rise.
Complaints about accomodation:The apartment was lovely. The views amazing. A printed home pack would be really useful.
Good bars and restaurants:Would recommend Mirador de Morayma restaurant. So close, good food, great view. We did a good free walking tour very good to learn the history of the city
Bad experiences in Granada:All lovely
Suggestions:We didn't realise just how early you had to get to the Alambra. We wish we had known you have to book so far in advance

Good things about accomodation:I loved the accommodation...even having to sleep in the kids bunk bed! The location is superb, with a spectacular view of the alhambra. It is a very charming place with a rustic feel. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful and fun with restaurants and shops nearby.
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints. My only suggestion would be to supply handsoop in the bathrooms. Most people travel with shampoo and conditioner, but not handsoap. Is especially helpful when arriving late at night with no way to shop.
Good bars and restaurants:We went looking for food one evening, and being vegan has its challenges! A local man recommended Il Trillo, and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and informative, and the menu had an entire section for us to order from. We didn't have to make any adjustments. I highly recommend them!
Suggestions:Be prepared to walk! While the city is not very big, it still takes time to get places and my mom and aunt were not very capable. We managed to get around okay, but it was a struggle. Also, having a paper map of the city would be helpful...as well as a bus route map with timetables. I wasn't able to connect to the Internet while walking around the city which made it hard to navigate without a paper copy.

Good things about accomodation:The Alhambra was the highlight. But the Arabic baths were also a real treat--wonderfully relaxing!
Complaints about accomodation:The apartment is rustic but very appealing. The patio outside the kitchen and the rooftop deck are special features. It is well equipped and roomy enough for 6 or 7 people. New bathrooms and new beds made it quite comfortable. The only thing we noted was that the floors tended to be a little gritty with fine particles, so some rugs or mats would help remove that feeling from your feet.
Good bars and restaurants:Mirador de Morayma was outstanding for a special dinner. We also enjoyed dinner at El Balcon de San Nicolas and tapas at Los Diamantes.

Good things about accomodation:It was very much like a feeling of coming home to the house, it has a very comfortable setup and was perfect for our needs.
Complaints about accomodation:Some convenience could be added by providing things like sugar, vinegar, toilet paper, that is usually not fully consumed if bought in consumer size packages. This would allow to worry about less things while on vacation
Good bars and restaurants:hike up the valley along Sacromonte and find a path to walk back on the other side and end up on the Alhambra hill.

Good things about accomodation:The house was very cool, and excellently placed. Sarah was very helpful getting us a taxi th the bus station when we left for Seville.
Complaints about accomodation:The upper terrace furniture needs tightening up as it's very wobbly!. Outdoor cushions for both terraces would be goog as chairs uncomfortable without. A teapot would be good, also. There was no tourist information at all in the house, or directions to the nearest supermarket-it took us quite a while to find this on arrival. I would advise not to use the dumb waiter-it needs some sides to prevent things falling off and is definitely not safe to use with drinks. A visitors book would be a nice touch-it's a good way to see what other visitors recommend.
Good bars and restaurants:Mirador Morayma is an excellent restaurant for a special night out with stunning views of the Alhambra. Mirador Saint Nicolas is worth a visit at night for the views of the Alhambra, also.
Bad experiences in Granada:No
Suggestions:Book the Alhambra before travelling to avoid disappointment. I would recommend the morning session because of the heat.
Granadainfo comments:For information about shops etc look at the location section of our website. https://granadainfo.com/zaida/ we also send this info in the arrival instructions.  This comments area is where you can see recomendations for restaurants etc. If you need help or advice John and Sarah are at the other end of a phone or if you prefer  go to the website and fill in the leave message box at the bottom of the screen. We will even complex questions will get a good answer.

Good things about accomodation:The view is unforgetable The terace is big and sunny Sarah and John provide great service, if you have a question or a problem, they solve it fast. Many Thanks for that
Complaints about accomodation:It is important to know, that the flat has 3 floors/levels and a lot of stairs. I would't book this accommodation, if I knew it, because we travel with a small child (11 months) and it was a real challenge.

Good things about accomodation:The accomodation is great, a very very lovely house with beatiful interior. Two bathroms are perfect and the terraces are fantastic.
Complaints about accomodation:If you have young children, the open starcase could be a bit probematic (partially no hand rail etc).
Good bars and restaurants:The whole atmosphere of the city is great. I sure you will find it out by yourself :)

Good things about accomodation:There were four of us in the unit--two seniors and two teenagers. We had plenty of space in which to spread out. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The two patios were great, especially the upper one with it's view of the Alhambra. The location was very good. We walked to the downtown area, Plaza Nueva and beyond. We also explored Sacramonte and the Albaycin on foot. We took a taxi home a couple of nights from downtown and it cost under 5 euros.
Complaints about accomodation:We have no complaints about the accommodation. We blew a fuse (our fault!) and couldn't find the breaker panel, but a call to the rental agency was answered immediately and the problem was rectified. The only suggestion I can offer is that it would have been nice to have a hair dryer and a toaster in the apartment but perhaps those things get removed by tenants. This property and its location would not be good for people with mobility issues. There are three floors and an upper balcony and you are always running up and down the stairs.

Good things about accomodation:Quiet location of the accommodation. The big terrace is wonderful. (one of the benches has a small piece nail sticking up, just in the middle.) And the top terrace was great for the sunsets! The next door Bar El Pozo is recommendable (only lunch). Also the small shop uphill (Sacromonte) is worth to be mentioned (maybe a notice in the accommodation?). People are really very friendly. The Realejo area is very interesting, many bars too.
Complaints about accomodation:No wine glasses (if this can be regarded as a complaint ;-)
Good bars and restaurants:El Pozo, next door. Cheap (daily menu EUR 8,50) with basic food. Alacena de las Monjas, on Plaza de Padre Suarez. Excellent. Not cheap but very nice. The "calamares fritos" at the Bar Las Cuevas (opposite Iglesia de San Gregorio) are delicious. Try a pionono (available at nearly every pastelería), the local delicacy. The ones at Pastería El Sur are the best we had.
Suggestions:Try a pionono (available at nearly every pastelería), the local delicacy. Flamenco show in one of the zambras of Sacromonte. Museo de las cuevas, Sacromonte. Casa de los Tiros (museum and art gallery). Capilla Real, with the royal graves and impressive grill. The many bars in the Realejo.

Good things about accomodation:The house is great - in a quiet spot so you sleep well (people often forget to mention whether a place is noisy or not... this wasn't...) It was the beginning of Spring when we stayed, so still a bit cold - but the house was unexpectedly cosy and warm. The shower is really good, and it was great to have the choice of a bathroom and a shower room. The view from the top balcony is FABULOUS, all the equipment was fine for cooking etc. and there's plenty of space. It really was a superb stay (and I've stayed in a lot of places in Granada!) NB there's a great walk into the Sierra Nevada that not a lot of people seem to do. Best views of the mountain range - check out www.treksierranevada.com and download the map for Beas... Starts behind the Alhambra, at the cemetery. Birdwatchers will love it (spotted a Bernelli's and a Golden eagle)...
Complaints about accomodation:The house was really great! But I would change a couple of things if it were my house: - the ants in the kitchen... - it could do with a sofa in the living room, the armchairs aren't that comfy for reading etc.
Good bars and restaurants:Any tapas bar! Especially in San Miguel Bajo... Bar Aixa does great tapas too. It's all about the tapas.

Good things about accomodation:The balcony and rooftop terrace were the best.... Breakfasts on the balcony every day, and wine on the terrace at night will stay with me. The visage of the Alhambra at night, from the terrace, was awesome.

Good things about accomodation:Beautiful, tastefully furnished 18th century house; lovely cool 'cave' bedroom; excellent views of the Alhambra from the rooftop - very romantic when lit up at night and with the sound of flamenco music coming from performances across the valley. Very friendly and helpful greeting from Conchi.
Good bars and restaurants:Really enjoyed the Moroccan teteria (tea-house) at the street corner just below the house - like stepping into a scene from the Arabian Nights.
Suggestions:Would advise potential visitors that as there is a steep staircase to the rooftop balcony with no banister, the house may not be suitable for those with young children.

Good things about accomodation:Casa Zaida was a wonderful place to stay. Located in Albaicin, it was central and perfect for wandering, while at the same time slightly removed from the busy Granada center. We stayed for a week in the house, and traveled around the city with two small children. The walk up the hill of Albaicin, through small pedestrian streets over many stairs, was actually something we looked forward to every day. A beautiful place to stay. Oh - and Conchi is phenomenal! I would stay at C.Z. again, if only to have the opportunity to drink another glass of wine with her!
Complaints about accomodation:Please clearly note on the website that the location is not appropriate for babies. Cover gaps at base of stairs (leading to the top terrace) so that children won't fall through. Another few knives would be useful, as there was only one for use.

Good things about accomodation:Location is great; in the middle of Albaycin and close to Sacromonte. The Alhambra was a hightlight of course but also the possibility to go skiing in the Sierra Nevada is perfect, only 45 minutes away by bus.
Complaints about accomodation:We loved the place, and if any improvements can be made it would be a WIFI connection, and more comfortable chairs at the table.
Good bars and restaurants:On the Carrera del Darro is a nice bar called La Fontana which we liked, also because of the WIFI available. Lisboa on the corner of Plaza Nueva serves good coffee, and the hammam Al Andalus is a nice experience, but not cheap if you go for the full treatment. Horno Paquito was a nice surprise, very local place near Plaza Salvador, great tapas, great value for money. We loved the Berenjenas con miel.
Bad experiences in Granada:Sometimes it is confusing wether you get tapas with your drinks or not. In some cases you have to ask, in other places you get it even before you order.
Suggestions:We loved it, the weather was also pleasant which helps, so we could go out without coats during the day. Definately a place to go back to. Alhambra is a must, but the city of Granada itself was beyond expectations.

Complaints about accomodation:Some necessary items were not available when we arrived, but these were very promptly provided by the owner. Otherwise all was well and it was a delight to stay in the house for 2 weeks.

Complaints about accomodation:A curtain in front of the windows in the bedrooms. There was no curtain in the main bedroom at the first floor. I wake up then at 6.00 in the morning;-). Maybe also a bit more equipment, knifes etc in the kitchen
Good bars and restaurants:The flamenco pena in the Albacin (nearby the appartment) is very nice and the food also!! Good arroz!

Conchi was extremely helpful on arrival. The location is great with easy transport by bus or on foot to Plaza Nuevo and to the Alhambra. Also near very good restaurants.

Complaints about accomodation:There is some noise from people walking past the house at night and I was woken up a couple of times.
Good bars and restaurants:Nice craft shops, tapas bars and Moroccan stylie arts on Calle Elvira. The Alhambra, despite its reputation however, was pants. Again, taxis up are about 5 euros and we had to go up 3 times to even get tickets so it cost us 30 euros in total for cab fares - more than the entry fee!!! And when we got in we wished we hadnt bothered. Dull dull dull
Bad experiences in Granada:We werent overcharged but coming from more rural Spain I'd say the prices were about 3 times what we're used to, e.g. a standard beer and some tapas for about 3 euros compared to 1.10 for the same thing where we live (about an hour away)
Granadainfo comments:It is a short walk to the Alhambra using a short cut up the Cuesta de los Chinos but you have to be reasonably fit. It is much better to catch the 31 or 32 minibus than get a taxi. There is a bus stop about 200 metres away. It doesn't make sense to walk down to the taxi rank in Plaza Nueva.

Good things about accomodation:Apart from the above, Casa Zaida with her 2 terraces is great and extremely well located. The house is simply furnished and uncluttered which is ideal for a holiday.I would certainly recommend it. We found Spanish people in Granada very friendly and welcoming ( taxi drivers, waiters, shop keepers, people in the street..)We had fun trying to communicate in our broken Spanish. We also felt very safe in the Albaicin even late at night. Perhaps, tourists could be told in advance the Bono system on the bus.( the 2 euro card).
Complaints about accomodation:One of the lamps was not working in one bedroom.
Good bars and restaurants:I recommend you take a bus to go to the Abbey in the Sacromonte. Superb views over Granada!
Bad experiences in Granada:On the whole, no bad experiences. Apart from one fishmonger who sold us prawns which were off. Luckily, the smell was so bad we noticed it immediately and got our money back. Otherwise, we could have spent the rest of our stay ill in bed or worse!
Suggestions:I believe you can see free flamenco at the week-end in the small bars further along the Sacromonte.

Complaints about accomodation:We managed to take the bus instead of a taxi and it was actually very easy.
Good bars and restaurants:We really enjoyed breakfast in the 'cafe au lait' down by the river. We also highly recommend a visit to the Palacio de Dar-al Horra, only open Tuesday and Thursday morning. It is a fantastic but little known moorish palace with wonderful decorations and we were there all by ourselves.
