Introduction:
Large, open-plan apartment. The
lounge, kitchen, dining area, bed etc. are all in one very large room.
It has
a very high ceiling. There is a small bedroom for 2 extra people. This
apartment would be perfect for a couple or for a family of 4 or 5. There is an extra bed if there are 5.
Location:
The house is just to the left of
the Cuesta Gomerez which is the hill which goes from the centre of
Granada up to the Alhambra. (see big black flower). As you can
see on the map below, it is right in the centre very near all
the things you will wish to see and do in Granada. It takes about
6 minutes to walk to the visitor's entrance of the Alhambra.

The apartment is on a hill so it is not suitable for
people with mobility problems. It is in a pedestrian street.
It is not feasible to drive a private car near the apartment and
then unload because the Cuesta Gomerez is only for buses and taxis.
Facilities:
The apartment has:
Kitchen area :
4 gas hobs, sink,
extractor, fridge, microwave, cooking utensils, crockery,
knives and forks. Fridge-freezer, dish washer.
Dining table with 5 chairs.
Lounge:
Sofa, wood burning stove, shelves, cupboards,
rocking chair.
1 Bedroom:
Small bedroom with 120cm wide double
bed with double pressure foam mattress. There is only enough room for
the bed in the bedroom. There is a wardrobe in the bedroom.
1 bed in the
lounge area:
180cm latex foam mattress with bedside
table.
1 extra bed in the
lounge area:
100cm for 1 person. This bed is only used if there are 5 people. If you use this bed you have to pay the 5 person price even if you are 4 people.
Heating:
There are 2 storage heaters in the
lounge. As you can see in the photos there is a wood stove. You
can buy sacks of wood for 20 euros per sack.
Air conditioning: There is
no air-conditioning but as it is an old house with thick walls, the
house is very cool in summer.
Parking:
The house does not have its
own parking. There is a public underground car park about 900m
away and
the price is 30 euros per week. There
are nearer parking places but the price is 30 euros per day. It is
in a pedestrain street and it is not possible to drive to the door.
Baby cot:
There is a travel cot available for babies.
Babies are free but children are charged the normal price.
Noise:
It is a quiet apartment. It is not permitted
to play loud music or make much noise after 12 midnight.
Non Smoking:
It is totally forbidden to smoke inside the
apartment. Just outside the apartment there are some steps with a good
view of the cathedral. This is where you can smoke if you really
want to.
The owner: is a yoga
teacher and speaks English well.
ADSL:
There is a free ADSL WIFI Internet conection.
Prices:
The price system is complex.
