Introduction:
Each apartment and
cave is different.
By using the form at the bottom of this page, you can choose the
one you want.
There are 3 caves and 4 apartments. Some of the rooms have views
of the Alhambra. They were fully refurbished in 2008.
Location:
The apartments are located at the
start of the Sacromonte. This area has traditionally been associated
with flamenco and caves.
The apartments are 950m from Plaza
Nueva (the very
centre of Granada), 1km from the cathedral, Plaza Bib Rambla, etc.
It takes about 20 minutes to
walk to the entrance of the Alhambra. Paseo
de los Tristes is about
400 metres away.

Facilities:
Each apartment has:
Lounge/Kitchen:
2 electric hobs, sink,
fridge, cooking utensils, crockery,
knives and forks.
Bathroom:
Bathroom
with WC, shower, wash basin and hair dryer. Hot water. One of the caves
has 2 bathrooms and one has a bath.
Outside Terrace:
There is a large communal terrace with
views of the Alhambra with tables and chairs for outside eating,
etc.
Swimming pool terrace:
There is a terrace at the side of
the swimming pool. Not many people would disagree that this is one
of the best views in the whole of Granada.
Free WIFI:
Free high speed internet access.
Swimming pool:
The swimming pool is about 90cm deep. It is not for serious swimming but for cooling down in the summer and general lounging around.
Heating /Cooling:
All caves and apartments have 2 powerful
air conditioning units which provide hot and cool air according to
requirements. The caves need very liitle in the way of heating or
cooling because they maintain a constant temperature all year. The
caves have an air circulation system which ensures that the air does
not
stagnate.
Booking:
To book the accommodation,
it is necessary to pay a downpayment of 50% of the full
price in advance.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If the reservation is cancelled
more than 10 days before the arrival date (normal season) and
16 days before the arrival date (high season), the deposit paid
will be refunded (with the deduction of 10 euros for cancellation
charges). If the reservation is cancelled later, the deposit
will not be refunded.
Damagaes deposit: The
owners have the right to ask for a damages deposit of 100 EUROS. It
will be given back at the end of the stay as long as there is no damage.
Other information:
Wheelchair access: One
of the bathrooms has been specially modified to accomodate the
disabled and there is also a stair lift at the entrance. However
this is a legal requirement and it would not be easy to get here
in a wheelchair as there are steps in the street outside.
Invalid access: You
must go up about 20 steps to get here. It would not
be suitable for anyone who is very unfit or who has walking difficulties.
Getting
here: We
will provide you with a detailed map with instructions on how to
get here and get the keys. You will be able to print all the arrival
instructions from a web page and bring them with you.
Parking: There is a private car park near the apartments very near the apartments which costs 8€/24 hours. Please phone us with your car registration number so that we can arrange for access to the area when it is restricted to residents. If you don't want to drive through the narrow streets of the Albaicín, you can also park in the one of the car parks in the centre and catch a taxi with your luggage. Official arrival time: The
official arrival time is after 14.00. The official leaving time is
before 12.00 (noon). This always guarantees 2 hours cleaning time.
We only strictly adhere to this if somebody leaves on the same
day
as someone
else arrives. If there is nobody in the accommodation the night before
you arrive then you can arrange to arrive at any time of the day.
Conditions: The
caves and apartments must be rented for 2 days minimum. Sheets
and towels are provided and these are included in the price.
