Good things about accomodation:The accommodation is perfect for 2 people who don't require expensive luxury. It is ideally suited for walking around the best parts of this wonderful city.
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints.
Good bars and restaurants:Cafe Roma in the Bib Rambla,The Nueva Bodega near Plaza Nueva, The Grand Taverna, with great free tapas, next to the Plaza Nueva bus stop makes waiting for a bus a hobby. Bar Pibe in Sacromonte is best of all with great free tapas and million dollar views of the Alhambra. Any bar in the Albaicin area including Plaza Largo provides free tapas and a good night out.
Suggestions:The Albaicin and Sacromonte buses have been returned to their original routes making access to these areas easy again. Thank you whoever planned this.

Good things about accomodation:The apartment delivered everything it promised, comfort, privacy and a convenient yet peaceful location for the Albaicin and the Alhambra. Yuki was quick to find us when we got lost walking in and extremely helpful in her suggestions, providing excellent maps and information. Everything was very comfortable, clean and well appointed for our needs. The decor was simple and comfortable, the bathroom small but excellent, the furnishings simple but quietly colorful. Looking out the narrow French doors over the tiny balcony and the small high walled patio provided a very authentic local experience. We would certainly recommend this location to anyone comfortable with the winding passageways and occasionally steep stairs of the Albaicin.

Good things about accomodation:The house is comfortable, we especially enjoyed being able to open all the doors and windows to let in fresh air and lots of light. We also enjoyed sitting in the courtyard, relaxing after walking around busy Granada. The kitchen is basic, adequate for preparing simple meals. The bedroom and bathroom are downstairs, both are basic but comfortable enough. The shower is the best!! plenty of hot water and great pressure. The owner is a lovely person, very helpful in any way. The location of the house is excellent.
Complaints about accomodation:The bed is a little small, and as one side is against a wall I felt quite claustophobic sometimes ,I often banged my knees against the wall and my head against the small ledge above the bed.

Good bars and restaurants:The Grand Taverna is great for a beer and tapas when waiting for a bus. The Neuva Bodega nearby is good and cheap. Plaza Largo in the Albaicin is bursting with great bars and retuarants, and great people. Good things about accomodation:The accomodation is perfectly situated for a relaxing walk to Plaza Nuevo and the town. It is also great for visiting the Upper Albaisin and Sacromonte. It is also handy for Careterra de Murcia where I park.
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints whatsoever.
Good bars and restaurants:The Alhambra of course. The Grand Taverna in Plaza Nuevo is great for a beer when waiting for a bus and has great tapas. The Nuevo Bodega nearby is great for a cheap meal. Bar Pibe on Camino de Sacromonte always provides a warm welcome, top of the league tapas and million dollar views. Plaza Largo in Upper Albaisin is ideal for a walk of an evening and a beer or two. It also leads through to Mirador de San Nicolas where the views are stunning. Visit the Granadainfo website regularly, John and Sarah are a great help.
Bad experiences in Granada:The 31 and 35 buses and other traffic being returned to their original route along Carrera del Darro and Paseo de los Tristes would be great as the streets now being used present a real problem to pedestrians. Local council take note(end of rant).
Suggestions:Wear good walking shoes. More details and contact number for finding accomodation in the Albaicin area if like me you don't check before hand (my own fault), as mobile internet signals are not very good in this area.

Good things about accomodation:The hosts at San Pedro demonstrate the classic oriental charm, always polite and obliging. Granada is always cold I am told, and being a earth/stone building there was always a small presence of a chill. We were delighed and surprised to be housed in such a charming and old district such as the Albaisin -Arab Quarter I believe dating back to the occupation of Spain by the Moors. The area is a rabbit warren waiting to be explored and get lost in. Only for the adventureous and romantics! The accommodation was excellent. A separate bedroom with en-suite and a separate Kitchen/living upstairs. If the weather is fine and warm you can take your lunch on the garden patio. Allround, perhaps the best value and enchanting stay we have had during our two months touring through Spain. Enjoy!
Complaints about accomodation:Drivers driving too fast down the San Juan de los Reyes.
Suggestions:Speed limits in the Albaisin! Max 30 k's

Good things about accomodation:This was an excellent choice for me to stay. It was small but perfect in all ways. Great for two people. I would recommend this to other people.
Complaints about accomodation:It would be great if there was a washing machine to be able to wash clothes.
Bad experiences in Granada:I enjoyed Granada very much. The food was excellent and the people were friendly.
Granadainfo comments:If you ask Olaf he would almost certainly let you wash some clothes in his machine.

Good things about accomodation:Ideally located within the old quarter, with views to the Alhambra a short walk away. Quiet and comfortable, the owners were very hospitable and imparted their local knowledge which was a great benefit.
Good bars and restaurants:Restaurants in the Albaicin mostly have good views of the Alhambra.
Suggestions:Be warned, life pretty much comes to a halt between 2 and 5pm. If you're travelling by bus to and from Malaga to Granada it's advisable to book your seats in advance as they can fill up quickly.

Good things about accomodation:I can highly recommend this cosy apartment in the heart of the Albaicin. The owner(s) are very friendly and helpful. The apartment is nicely decorated, very clean and quiet. I stayed here for a writing retreat and can recommend this place either for a quiet working or holiday environment.
Suggestions:Please remember you have to climb some stairs to reach the apartment. A taxi can drop you off relatively close by.
