Good things about accomodation:The apartment is conveniently located close to the main attraction in Granada: Alhambra, Plaza Nueva, and a short ride with buses to Albaicin, train station and bus station. Raul is amazing. He met us in our day of arrival although it was Christmas day.He also drove us to the airport in our day of departure. The apartment is clean and well stocked with towels, blankets, kitchen utensils. Raul is even provide fruits and bread for our first day breakfast. It was bank holiday, and no grocery stores in the neighbourhood are open. We are grateful for Raul (and Fabiola) excellent services.
Complaints about accomodation:No. It is just almost perfect!
Good bars and restaurants:We had dinner at Mirador de Morayma. The food is excellent, the view is breathtaking, and the price is reasonable. We also watched Flamenco show at Jardines de Zoraya. The food is OK but not great, the service is rather poor, but the show is outstanding!
Bad experiences in Granada:No.People are helpful and hospitable.
Suggestions:Alhambra is clearly a star attraction in Andalucia. After visiting Alhambra,other attraction in Sevilla and Cordoba are look pale. If one visit Andalucia like us, I would like to suggest to visit Alhambra last after Cathedral and Real Alcazar in Sevilla, and Mesquita in Cordoba. In that order (Sevilla, Cordoba and Alhambra/Granada), you will get your sense of wonder and excitement building up to perfection!

Good things about accomodation:We rented Clavel apartment for a full week in June and had a great stay. It was a great base to explore the city of Granada, a close walk to the centre, to alhambra and to most bus routes. The apartment itself was in a very quiet spot facing on to a courtyard. Apart from other neighbours occasoinally passing through the courtyard there was very little noise. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and after giving us the keys did not intrude upon us throughout our weeks stay. They were happy to provide any information required about granada. The matress was very comfortable and everything in the apartment worked.I would recommend this apartment to other travellers who are not fussed about high luxury but appreciate clean, comfortable and quiet accommodation.
Good bars and restaurants:Definately don't miss El Banuela teteria which is located up a street on your left called "banuela" as you walk along carerra del darro away from plaza nueva. It is a cute little teteria tucked away from the main drag. great for a quiet tea with a book or with friends.
Bad experiences in Granada:There was an asian tapas bar at plaza nueva that we ate at. They gave generous servings of tapas and had vegetarian options but two of our company felt ill afterwards. We went on to a teteria and the owner told us that he has heard of many people who had got food poisoning from this place and that their kitchen was not at all hygenic so i would advise people to avoid this tapas bar.
Granadainfo comments:The terrace bars in Plaza Nueva near the newspaper kiosk are franchises and get a lot of bed reviews.

Good things about accomodation:The Clavel apt. was great- it was really a lucky find for us. It was a clean and tidy with a nice bedroom, a lovely bath,a full kitchen, dining area and a salon. It was warm which was important as our stay was in November. But, beyond the fact of the nice apartment at a reasonable price, was the amazing kindness and services the owners,Fabiola and Raul provided. The apt was cleaned every week, and our laundry was done and delivered to us. When I became incapacitated with a problem knee, Fabiola rushed up to a nearby Clinic and helped arrange for me to see a Doctor. She went and got a wheelchair for me and our dear neighbor took me up to the clinic as I was not able to walk to it. On my return Fabiola had to make the trip back with the wheelchair. She was more than kind and helpful. I am so grateful for her help and her happy smiles too. Thank You Fabiola and Raul-I miss my Clavel apt and you and Granada! Joan Bill
Good bars and restaurants:The Alhambra of course, Sacromonte and the minibus # 35 for the best tour in town- the Market at the Corte Inglese and their fish counter. Plaza Nueva and the Alhambra bookshop there.
