Good things about accomodation:On the positive side the apartments are well located- the interiors are modern and have clean lines and are well equipped.
Complaints about accomodation:unfortunately we could not stay in apt.6 which we had booked and was our choice because of the lovely terrace as the apartment has serious water leaks. consequently the first night was spent with us trying to dry the bedding and get rid of water on the floors. It was a huge problem for me as an asthmatic and I had to sleep fully clothed in order to not chill down to the room temperature which was almost impossible to raise because of the dampness. We got very little sleep but the next day was spent moving to another apt in the same complex. Manuel was very helpful and accommodating but we missed a ski day and I do feel that the lack of maintenance is an issue. We arrived at 21.30 in the pouring rain to a cold apartment with wet floors. we were tired and in need of a hot drink. It would have been nice if the heating had been turned on and maybe some milk in the fridge as a welcome gesture as it is difficult to get orientated at that hour and having spent the day travelling from Sweden we were tired.
Granadainfo comments:The building is only 8 months old. Granada suffered the wettess coldest conditions it has experienced in the last 10 years. This caused condensation to form on the ceiling which caused some drops to fall onto the floor and the beds. Once Manuel had been informed of this problem in the morning he was on the scene in less than 15 minutes. He also would have been there at any point during the night to solve the problem if he had been contacted. The solution was to give the guests an entirely new apartment in the same building with dry bedroom but also let the guests keep the keys of the original apartment so they could still enjoy the large lounge and terrace. There is a shop open until 12 midnight about 200 metres from the apartments where you can buy milk plus numerous bars and restaurants. For this reason we don't buy milk for the guests. Even if we wanted to buy milk for the guests we would not know which type of milk to buy eg semi-skimmed, skimmed, soya etc. The problem was caused by a blocked ventilation tube. We have also purchased a 3000 euro de-humidifier in case of further problems. It is very important not to put up with any problem - just contact us and we will find a solution. If you don't contact us we can't help you. Granadainfo is happy that the correct procedure was carried out in this case.

Good things about accomodation:Very well located and well thought through for a tourist; bin liners, washing up liquid and soap provided, all very useful for a short stay.
Complaints about accomodation:The toilet seats come free of their fittings but otherwise all was very good and would be recommended
Good bars and restaurants:We liked Pain & Chocolate for early morning bread & Croissants. Restaurant leon was our favourite for tipica food and cafe Lisboa for coffee/hot chocolate & cakes. For Italian Lago di Como was brill.
Bad experiences in Granada:Too much dog mess generally, but no other problems
Suggestions:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Granada, the location was fantastic for walking and viewing. Everyone should visit the Hamman next door.

Good things about accomodation:Great location! At the food of the Alhambra, easy walking to shops, squares, restaurants, nightlife. Incredible views of the city!
Good bars and restaurants:Alhambra - be sure to get the audio guide while touring. Some mini marts stay open during siesta and are good places to pick up food and beverages - they even threw in extras! The wines in the mini marts are inexpensive and wonderful. It was fun to just pop in to any one of the many restaurants and bars and give it a try!
Suggestions:I was concerned about making connections for the apartment, but is was super easy. Manuel was available by phone, was very prompt and helpful and polite.

Good things about accomodation:The appartment was fantastic - perfect location and amazing terrace with views - I would definitely recommend this as a base to explore granada
Good bars and restaurants:We went to Cunini in the plaza pescadores - eat inside standing at the bar for amazing tapas and a locals atmosphere. If you are there before August 29th - buy tickets to the Cante Jondo flamenco up at the Generalife in the Alhambra - incredible. The Arabic Baths three doors down from the appartments are a must - they don't look much from the outside but are fabulous inside.

Good things about accomodation:The apartment was great! Light, great views, wonderful balcony and a modern kitchen with necessary kitchen gadgets
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints, but English instructions for the washer would be helpful.
Good bars and restaurants:Obviously the Alhambra was great, the eateries on Navas street were fun.
Suggestions:The bus to/from the airport is easy!
Granadainfo comments:A Tip: If ever you don't have instructions for an electrodomestic search the name for it on google and almost certainly you will find a PDF with operating instructions.

Good things about accomodation:The apartment was bright, sunny, spacious, clean, and the deck was an added plus. We enjoyed the view of the city and a tower of the Alhambra. It was very comfortable for our family of four, in a convenient location, and a welcome relief from the heat of the day. Manuel was also very helpful upon arrival.
Good bars and restaurants:Las Cuevas, a few streets up from Plaza Nueva, had excellent Moroccan food and was reasonably priced. Our favorite dishes were the eggplant stuffed with meat, and the lamb tagine. We went twice!
Suggestions:We bought our tickets for the Alhambra in advance. Upon arriving at our time slot, we forgot our receipt. Fortunately, you do not need your receipt to redeem your tickets, just your credit card that you purchased the tickets with and some identification. However, the name on the receipt was not my full name and the ticket office at the Alhambra could not find our reservation. Please double check the name on your reservation and bring the same credit card that you used to purchase the tickets.

Good things about accomodation:the hotel accomodations were excellent. The rep was exceptional and the location was ideal.
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints, just the parking situation was a bit difficult as the city restricts who can drive in the center of town.
Good bars and restaurants:Behind the Plaza Nueva are some great tapas bars that the locals hung around in. Less expensive and better quality.
Bad experiences in Granada:The apt was a little pricey but we were in the central area.
Suggestions:Granadainfo were absoutlely wonderful. We would definitely recommend them.

Manuel, who met us spoke excellent English, was very professional and helpful (and didn't complain that we were an hour late ) All in all we were impressed and would choose this apartment again
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints at all, better kitchen equipment and a second sun lounger would have suited us but this did not affect our enjoyment.

Complaints about accomodation:It would be nice if there were a top sheet available for the beds. Sometimes it was too warm for the comforter, but too cold with no covering at all.
Good bars and restaurants:Highly recommend local guide Alfonso Dios for visit to Alhambra.
Bad experiences in Granada:No bad experiences. Vendors in markets were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed Granada so much more than Barcelona.

Good things about accomodation:This apartment was a dream! It was such a pleasant surprise to walk in the apartment and see the nicely designed, light, and neat interior. The terrace view was absolutely amazing. Our trip to Granada was such a treat because of our lodging at the aixa apartment. In addition, Manuel, our apartment host, was so pleasant and helpful. He was eager to provide us with any information we needed or any additional items we needed for our stay. We can't thank him enough for all his help in dealing with a hotel booking agency, on our behalf, to help organize our future plans. If we had had more time, we would have gladly taken Manuel out for a drink to show him our gratitude for his hospitality.
Complaints about accomodation:It would be helpful to provide dish towels or hand towels for the kitchen area. Also a vegetable peeler would be a nice addition to the kitchen utensils. Finally, for the kitchen, a small teapot.
Good bars and restaurants:I would highly recommend a private guided tour of the Alhambra. We found the company via their website and had a fantastic tour of the Alhambra and Generalife: Alhambra.org. As for restaurants, our Alhambra guide mentioned one on Calle Rosario, it was delicious and the service was great! Bar Patio Braserito, C/ Rosario 7, 18009 Granada, Spain 958 221 984.
Bad experiences in Granada:Hmmm...bad experiences in Spain: most of them happened before or after our time in Granada. I would say that the least pleasant part of Granada were the number of cars and buses speeding along Carrera del Darro but there is not much one can do about that. Also, it would be helpful to provide list of the hours of grocery shops, bakeries, and cafes. It is difficult to know when bakeries and grocery stores will open! I understand that places open later in Spain but for an American tourist in need of breakfast items it would be helpful to know business hours.
Suggestions:We will highly recommend the Aixa apartments to the next visitors to Spain. We will also highly recommend visiting Granada as it was in Granada were we had such friendly encounters with Spaniards in the restaurant, touring, and accomodations industries. Our 5 day stay in Granada definitely has the fondest memories of our two weeks in Spain.

Good things about accomodation:The apartments are beautiful!! They are perfectly situated and well decorated. Granada was our favorite city in Spain, with so much character! As many people have said, Manuel was wonderful, and arranged for us to join a group for a Flamenco performance, as well as told us how to get to the Alhambra by bus. We were leaving to Cordoba enroute to Madrid and he helped us try to find a place there to store our bags for the day. He was very kind and accessible.
Complaints about accomodation:Only improvement would be to add an electric coffee pot. Very lovely apartments!
Good bars and restaurants:Just walking around the old town and stopping at various bars, then moving to another.
Bad experiences in Granada:Only once did a store keeper purposely try to short-change me by 10 Euro on a 20 Euro note, thinking I had not noticed.
Suggestions:We were not told about there being a bus from the airport to the city center, which we took (there were six of us).
Granadainfo comments:We do provide information about the airport bus on this page

Good things about accomodation:The apartment itself was beautiful and had good facilities. The air conditioning was much appreciated. It was also very centrally located. Manuel was helpful and easy to contact.
Complaints about accomodation:There was a problem with the shower. The outlet shifted and this caused water to flood down into the entrance hall. As a result, my friend slipped on the very hard stairs and bruised her back. Manuel and his team were very apologetic and did their best to get the shower mended as soon as possible. However perhaps these things could be checked more carefully in future. One more thing that I found a problem was that the street lights made the apartment very light at night. The blinds were very good at filtering out the sunlight during the day but not at keeping out the artificial light at night. Perhaps some inside blackout blinds could be added.
Good bars and restaurants:We loved the Alhambra and it was worth visiting twice - once in the daytime and a second time at night. There was a lovely restaurant just outside the main entrance and we ate there twice. Allow a lot of time for eating out. There are also some beautifully situated restaurants with a lovely view of the Alhambra if you walk along the road from the Plaza Nueva past the Santa Ana Church, keeping the river to your right. After about 5 minutes the road opens out into a square and it is a lovely place to sit.
Suggestions:Get as much information as possible from the internet before you set off. There are frequent buses but we hardly used them, preferring instead to walk.
Granadainfo comments:We are of course very sorry about the shower incident. The shower has been fully fixed. We have investigated the incident and we are happy the correct procedure was followed. Even without plumbing problems, marble floors can be trecherous with wet feet. I fell down the stairs in my own house once and got badly bruised because I had wet feet after coming out of the shower, it's like walking on ice, now I am very very careful.
The restaurant outside the Alhambra is La Mimbre. The square mentioned is the Paseo de los Tristes and the restaurant must be the Restaurante Azafran

Good things about accomodation:The apartment was unbelievable in the sense of it's finish. Lovely furniture and designs all round and filled with nice finishing touches giving it a really welcoming, homely feel.
Good bars and restaurants:If you want to have an amazing view of the Granada and unbeatable food, the restaurant "Estrellas de San Nicolas" in the area around the albaicin, the exact address is Calle de la Atarazana Vieja 18010. It is situated right beside a square that has a breathtaking view of the Alhambra at night. The AlhambraBus runs up that direction until approximately 12.30am so it's not costly to get there, and if there's a high-heels wearer in the group it's a must! Be sure to reserve a table if you want a window seat though!
Bad experiences in Granada:There were homeless people around the square outside Santa Ana church near Plaza Nueva, although they are completely harmless, so I don't think this really classifies as a bad experience! it's merely slightly unsightly!
Suggestions:The AlhambraBus is a definite must as it's only 1.20 euro and saves a strenuous walk, the walk down into the city is relaxing though. If arriving by bus, the 3 and 33 buses go to the centre of town from the bus station and cost 1 euro. The closest real supermarket is the Corte Ingles which is about 15 minutes walk away from the apartment, that's if you want to get a proper shop done rather than just odds and ends, in which case there's a small shop in Plaza Nueva 2 minutes from the apartment that caters for all simple necessities! The tourist information office 1 minute walk from the apartment is excellent and it's great to know that any questions you need answered are only 1 minute away! (It shuts around 7.30pm though so make sure you get everything you need to know before dinner!)

Complaints about accomodation:When we were there the first 2 nights very quiet but the last 2 the people above and below very noisy after 10pm dragging chairs furniture on floor and little ones running and screaming until 1230-1am. Please just use this note to maybe ask people to be quiet after 10pm and put sliders/pads on base of furniture so you don't hear the noise.Would return if less noise from other apts.At present apt(Barcelona) if any noise after 10pm you are out.

The apartment itself was fantastic, modern and fully equipped. I would highly recommend it. The terrace was fabulous and had amazing views. Manuel Lopez who came to meet us was informative, helpful and very friendly (please pass on our thanks). Overall another great experience in Granada.
Complaints about accomodation:The big lampshade in the living area seemed a bit impractical and got in the way when sitting there.
