Good things about accomodation:We loved every moment of our holiday - the hotel was lovely; the Albacin district was stunning and we enjoyed stumbling across little squares all with their own unique personalities. Sacromonte was also very interesting. The Alhambra Palace was stunning - I almost cried it was so beautiful.
Complaints about accomodation:The hotel was beautiful, the staff were all friendly and helpful and with a bus stop right outside the hotel our to-ing and fro-ing was SO easy.
Good bars and restaurants:i would also recommend that people get up into the mountains and visit the Alpujarra - we stopped off in Palmponeira and bought a stunning rug. If only wwe had had a truck with us!
Bad experiences in Granada:No - the prices of all goods and meals were fantastic compared to the steep prices in Ireland.
Suggestions:We intended to learn Spanish before travelling but never quite got around to it. I picked up a little as I already have French so that helped me to get a handle on Spanish, but I think if you have a little of a language, people appreciate your efforts and you will feel a little more confident.

Good things about accomodation:The room was lovely. We had a family room, which only had a small window. The air con was very good. Breakfast was good, apart from the bread being a bit stale. Staff helpful and friendly.
Good bars and restaurants:We bre booked tickets for the Alhambra, for the 6.30 slot - would recommend this time, it was cooler and the light was very good.
Calle Elvira was good for food.

Good things about accomodation:Room was very pretty and the view was great.
Visit to the Al Hambra was marvellous and walking round the Albaicin area was fascinating
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints.
I can think of no improvements.
Good bars and restaurants:We visited about 7 bars and 3 restaurants and we enjoyed them all. The first bar/restaurant in the nearby square was very welcoming with great food.
Bad experiences in Granada:Dog mess
Suggestions:For other travellers beware. The weather in late March / early April can be very variable. It can be colder than London so have warm clothes.

Good things about accomodation:The staff was very professional and friendly in a personal way that we enjoyed a lot. They gave us useful (e.g. places to eat) and interesting information (e.g. about how hard it is to restore old houses in Granada).
Loved to look at all the textiles specially the carpet in hab 11. And why not also the basket with oranges in a window in the breakfast room! I took several photos of the embroidered table cloth on the buffet table.
The view from our windows over the castle and the mountains in sunrise with the rising morning mist was a wonderful start on a day.
Bus 32 directly to Alhambra was a great help with the bus stop right outside the door!
Suggestions:Your offer - on arrival to Granada - to meet us with a taxi after leaving our car in a garage was very helpful. We suspected difficult driving and few parking places in Granada which resulted in going by train from/to Sevilla. This turned out to be a good choice.

Good things about accomodation:Very friendly and efficient team
A great hotel in a good location (as we were truthfully told it is 5 minutes walk from everywhere .. as long as you walk quickly) but for those feeling tired the little local bus goes from right outside the door.
If you book a parking spot and drive (as we did) and have the new joy of a GPS, then make sure you look closely at the driving instructions on their map and enter the cross streets as waypoints. We did that and it took us to the door, but the original GPS plan had us driving the wrong way along one way streets.
The room was a bit on the small side - but then it is an old part of a very old town and the quality of the hotel was great.
Free internet is always a nice plus in the service (both for our own laptop and also one available in the lounge area.
The Hotel Santa Isabel is a wonderful hotel in a great town.
I recommend it with confidence.
Complaints about accomodation:it is a great hotel and the team were very helpful. Would certainly recommend with confidence
Good bars and restaurants:The busses are great - although only used once, the driver could not have been more helpful
Suggestions:our gps really had trouble working out the street access to the hotel - until we took over and set each intersection to guide it.

Room or apartment: Hab 11 - torreón mirador
Good things about accomodation:The view from Room 11 is spectacular, and the ease of catching the Alhambra bus from outside the door was an extra. Receptionists were extremely helpful.
Good bars and restaurants:My wife is a vegetarian and the Moorish quarter Restaurants were ideal
Bad experiences in Granada:Parador in Alhambra is vastly over-rated and over-priced!
Suggestions:The simple pricing system for the buses and the bus signs that give the destinations makes travel so easy in Granada.
