Good things about accomodation:The location is good - we really enjoyed being part of the Albaicin - staying there made it easy to wander the streets and find great local restaurants and bars.
Good bars and restaurants:It's well worth wandering through the area to find local places that seem more authentic than touristy.

Good things about accomodation:We bought a City Pass and really enjoyed the Alhambra, the bus tour, Cathedral etc.
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints. The accommodation suited us very well. Very comfortable
Good bars and restaurants:The Manchachica Chaouen Restaurante on Camino Nuevo de San Nicolas was excellent.
Bad experiences in Granada:We were given a parking ticket for obstructing the rubbish collecting truck but this was not true. The owner, Javier said to take photos and he is helping us appeal it.
Suggestions:Javier was extremely helpful - not just with the parking ticket but he also gave us lots of suggestions regarding our stay, places to visit etc. Please pass on our thanks to him.

Room or apartment: Adelfa
Complaints about accomodation:The accommodaton was good and Javier (the landlord) was excellent, very helpful indeed.
Good bars and restaurants:Skiing in Sierra Nevada is good and going back to Granada afterwards is MUCH nicer place than the ski resort! Climbing Mulhacen is challenging (we failed) but a worthy target. Climbing Veletta is much easier, within the capability of fit walkers with god equipment and well worthwhile.

Good things about accomodation:The situation of the house is fantastic, right in the Albycin and just a short walk from San Nicolas square, where you can watch the sun set over the Alhambra palace; beautiful. The house has a lovely garden and everything you could want for an authentic Albycin experience. It is near the Sacremonte so you can walk to the Gypsy Flamenco shows in the Caves. The markets and shops closeby had everything we wanted, it was delight to shop and cook for such fresh local spanish produce.
Complaints about accomodation:No, it was wonderful
Good bars and restaurants:We only experienced excellent service and superb food & wine. The children especially loved the Spanish cuisine, just wonderful.
Bad experiences in Granada:The only problem is that dog owners do not pick up their dogs poo, they just leave it right on the pavements and allyways through the Albycin. Walking home in the dark at night with children means that inevitably one or all of your party will tread in dog poo a some stage, very umpleasant, a health hazard and quite disgusting so beware!

Good things about accomodation:Great accomodation. Loved being able to sit in the garden and eat a grapefruit I´d just picked. Wonderful to have the view of the Alhambra.
Complaints about accomodation:It seemed far away when we arrived but it is well located for the shops etc around Plaza Larga.
Good bars and restaurants:The Flamenco Zoraya restaurant was touristy but was a really easy way to see some Flamenco, with our children being only a 5 minute walk from the house.
Suggestions:The visit to the Alhambra was a long day for us and it was lovely to stop at the fancy Hotel in the middle for drinks and snacks. The cost was easily balanced by being able to cook a simple dinner that night back at the house (instead of having to go out as we would have if we were staying at a hotel).

Good bars and restaurants:Try skiing for a day in the Sierra Nevada - costs around £50 each including hire of equipment.
