Good things about accomodation:A fantastic city with a splendidly appointed apartment. The apartment was clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we wanted, with the plus of a lovely little courtyard garden to take refuge from the heat of the summer sun. The owner, Richard, was charming and helpful and made a taxi booking for the return journey, which we really didn't want to make!
Good bars and restaurants:We enjoyed the ambience of the Bar Ras, but the local bar around the corner from the apartment was very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
The Alhambra is a must and the Cathedral is very impressive. Strolling around the Albaycin is lovely, in fact the whole central city is a joy.
Suggestions:A few exrta utensils in the kitchen would be apperciated for those of us that like to try and cook the local produce, but, hey, your on holiday. Eat tapas!

Complaints about accomodation:Only two clean towels were provided at the beginning of our four night stay. There was no cleaning service - (linens, bathroom, etc.) during our entire stay.
Granadainfo comments:It is completely normal not to have a cleaning service in an apartment. It is clean when you arrive, afterwards you can use the washing machine and cleaning equipment provided. If you require a daily cleaning service then it would be better to stay at a hotel or an apartment which offers this service.

Good things about accomodation:The owner was extremely helpful and pointed us in the direction of some most enjoyable excursions not mentioned in our guide books. The history of the property was fascinating.
Good bars and restaurants:Tagines at Las Cuevas in Granada were really good.
Tradition Alpujarra food and setting of Restaurante Casa paco in Capileira were outstanding.
Suggestions:Leaving the car at home and seeing the area by bus was the right decision.

Good things about accomodation:Indeed, it’s a charming apartment - with a beautiful Patio! Inside it isn't very light, but especially in summer, when it is hot there, you will benefit from it! The location is great: On the one hand there is the Albaycín, which is like an arabic village, on the other hand, not far away, the beautiful center of Granada. Great enviroments with fantastic views! Granada is an amazing city with beautiful architecture as well as an attractive ambiance. Without any doubt it is one of the best places in Spain to go.Furthermore, Richard, the owner, turned out to be a very nice guy who was ready to help whenever I needed assistance. Thank you again!
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints at all. One idea: A sunlounger would be great! :)
Good bars and restaurants:I attended spanish classes there – in a language school very near to the apartment (carmen de las cuevas). Not only that it offers sunny terraces where you can sit and enjoy the view to the alambra. The education as well is on a good level and the teachers are nice guys. (Sorry for my bad english – maybee I should learn english next time.)
Bad experiences in Granada:No bad experience at all during my stay of two month.

Good things about accomodation:In our opinion the accommodation was lovely and very comfortable, and even more inviting than the photos depict. We enjoyed the cozy patio area for reading and eating. The local bar just up the road has a lovely view and is great for food and drinks especially in the evening.
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints at all.
Good bars and restaurants:Each new day in Granada brought a new adventure. There is lots to see and do; the Alhambra Palace, Cathedral, and Monestario de San Jeronimo were particularly memorable for me personally. Lots of great bars and restaurants everywhere - I recommend checking this website for recommendations and information.
Bad experiences in Granada:Our advice: Don't let Granada entice you and the accommodation relax you so much that you miss your flight home! We were lucky the owner of the accommodation was so helpful; he went out of his way to offer support and help to us in our time of panic. HUGE thanks to him for all his time and efforts and assistance.

Good things about accomodation:The owner was very friendly, he is fluent in english. The place is in the middle of the Flamenco area. The perfect place for spontanous Flamenco.
Complaints about accomodation:No, The place was lovely.
Good bars and restaurants:The Pibe on Sacremento. Zoraya Cueva and the neighborood, museo cuevas del Sacramonte.
Bad experiences in Granada:Food was not good at Puerta de los tristes, bad Paella and the bread was old.
The Best area to be was Sacramonte where the local were always pleasant and friendly, not always the case in the downtown.

Good things about accomodation:Accomodation was secluded, away from the main tourist trails in Sacromonte. Therefore we almost felt part of the community that has such a rich history, i.e. Flamenco, gitano culture...
Bad experiences in Granada:Check your bills, sometimes bars overcharge, but we also had undercharged bills. But never a problem when rectifying these minor "glitches".
Suggestions:We have learned that bar staff can appear a little grumpy, however, we have never taken that too seriously, it seems to be part of the Granada folk. (Might have been the extremely rainy weather during the time we visited...;-))

Good things about accomodation:Great location, easy to walk into Granada, great views of the Alhambra from close by.
Complaints about accomodation:Bit damp and cobwebby but that could be as it was quite cave-like. difficult to dry towels indoors after showers etc, still wet the next day. Poorly equipped kitchen, not inspired to stay in and cook some nights as was our intention.
