Good things about accomodation:Staying in the Mirador Apartment for a week was a uniquely charming experience. It was perfectly situated and outfitted for our differing needs since Terry was attending a conference at Palacio de Congresos. Isabel, the apartment owner, was exceedingly helpful--showing us how to use the appliances in the apartment, giving us an overview of Granada districts, and even showing Susan where to buy terrific bread in the Plaza Nueva and groceries in a local shop. Terry and I would love to have an opportunity to visit Granada and stay in the apartment again.
Complaints about accomodation:Having a washing machine available was wonderful.
Good bars and restaurants:Bread from the Kioscos en Plaza Nueva was great for breakfast. Late dinner at Cafe Bib-Rambla offered good food and pleasant views of the plaza fountain. The views of the Alhambra at night were spectacular while dining at "el huerto de Juan Ranas" just below the popular viewpoint.
Suggestions:We loved the quiet location of the apartment with its view out to the Albaicin and enjoyed climbing the paths and steps to get to it, still, someone with mobility difficulties would probably not find it suitable.

Good things about accomodation:We really enjoyed our stay in Granada and it was made all the more better by our accommodations. The flat we rented was exceptionally clean and very stylishly furnished and appointed. We wanted a location that was close to the city center but not noisy or unsettling, and that's what we got. To make a good thing better, the woman that came to meet us (the owner) was *so* helpful and polite it was just such a treat to be treated so well.
Complaints about accomodation:No complaints, but I would pass along to anyone reading a review for the Mirador, that the description says that it is not appropriate for someone with accessibility problems. Believe it. There are some stairs on the path to the flat and it is up on a hill (it's not called Mirador for nothing, the view is wonderful!). My wife and I are fit and used to walking so it was not a problem - just be aware of it. In the flat there is a step between the entry/kitchen area and the lounge area. If you are not careful that could be a tripping problem, again, just be aware of it.

Good things about accomodation:The location of the apartment was great. It was also clean and had everything we needed. The apartment owner was also very helpful.
Bad experiences in Granada:The ladies at the churches trying to read your palm can be very persistent. A little annoying but not a big deal

Good things about accomodation:We had a wonderful time in Granada and thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Mirador apartment. Isabel had thought of every detail so we felt very much at home. The apartments are located up the hill from Plaza Nueva—very centrally located. Its a bit of climb to get to the apartments but the breathtaking views make it all worthwhile and you are away from the noise and traffic of the streets below. The apartment was impeccably clean and included a modern kitchen, wireless, satellite tv and skylights in the bedroom. Would highly recommend Mirador 2 for independent travelers.
Good bars and restaurants:Some lovely tapas places on Calle Neva.

Good things about accomodation:We loved the baths right past plaza nueva
Complaints about accomodation:The apartment was lovely, the view was fantastic, everything was great. The one thing for my haggard travelers body was the bed, way too soft, As more and more people rent this place maybe at some point Mairella (sp?) might be able to get a firmer bed.
Good bars and restaurants:Walk... Walk up through the streets of Sacramonte
Bad experiences in Granada:Outside of Granada we were stopped by a Civial Guard, police, and given a E40 ticket for a very minor infraction whilst trying to find a good route to Cartagena, he said that if we didn't pay it on the street to him in cash then we would have our car towed and impounded, we are used to traveling and not always trusting cops so we gave him a good hassle and finally after getting his ID and number we gave him the money.
Suggestions:Rent Mirador 2, it is a fantastic apartment, well thought out with every amenity, fro m WiFi to washer and Dryer to the view... fantastic!!!
