Rating: Excellent
Room or apartment: Casa de Ana
Good things about accomodation:The apartment was excellent - clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. It had a lovely garden, something that would be hard to find in the center of Granada I suspect. Ana was friendly and very helpful. The apartment is great if you have a hire car as parking outside is easy and it's well connected to the motorways. Very easy to get to Granada center by bus or taxi.
Good bars and restaurants:The restaurant two doors down to the apartment is good value and friendly. There's a supermarket 5 minutes drive from the apartment.

Good bars and restaurants:In Huetor Vega the Vista Nevada Restaurant (almost next door) was good food & value(large portions).
Suggestions:There is a big supermarket by Junction 3 - the Huetor Vega exit of the Ronda Sur (useful if self-catering) Huetor Vega is not a touristy area & in the restaurants we tried they did not speak English - so I think that you need more the "por favor" & "gracias" to stay (& eat out) here.

Room or apartment: Casa de Ana
Good things about accomodation:This accommodation is really child-friendly (we stayed here with a 2 and 4 year old), so are the owners. At our arrival we found several toys in the children's room, as well as enough to play with in the garden. But not only the children, we ourselves also had a very good time here. The bus takes you in about 15min to the centre of Granada. A visit to Sierra Nevada is easy done with the car in 30min. Car parking is also no problem in the street in front of the house.
Complaints about accomodation:There is nothing to complain about. It is a very nice accommodation with very friendly owners (the even helped us when our car was broken down). I only missed one thing: plastic plates and cups for our two year old son.

Rating: Very good
Room or apartment: Casa de Ana
Good things about accomodation:The accommodation was perfectly situated for us as we wanted to go to both Sierra Nevada and the Alhambra, and it is minutes drives from the turn off which puts you on the main roads for both these attractions. Ana's hospitality was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, as my husband was traveling later with the car, she personally took us to the shops to get our groceries!
Complaints about accomodation:It was exceptionally cold the weekend we visited Granada and although we had an open fire and plenty of wood we had to leave a window cracked to prevent the house smoking up, which meant the house didn't warm up as much as it could have.
Good bars and restaurants:The British ski school and the Goreski ski clothes hire in the main ski resort made it all very easy to get our family of four, youngest member aged 3 lessons and kitted out for the day of skiing.
Suggestions:The best thing we did was go up to the slopes after 5pm the day before skiing to get our lift passes and ski clothes and find out where we had to be to get our boots and skis. It might have been a panic the next morning as everything takes time.

Rating: Excellent
Room or apartment: Casa de Ana
Good things about accomodation:Casa Ana provides a perfect indoor / outdoor living environment, close to transport, restaurants and all amenities.
Good bars and restaurants:Most tapas bars are excellent and provide really good tapas - unfortunately we don't recall the names.
Bad experiences in Granada:We found the flamenco restaurants in Sacromonte a rip-off at between Euro15 to 20 for an hour show and one drink. No wonder so many of them were closed on a Saturday night! May other restaurant owners take this challenge and provide a more user-friendly flamenco experience for tourists?

Rating: Excellent
Room or apartment: Casa de Ana
Good things about accomodation:The location is perfect for families with small kids (lots of secure garden space to play in) or anyone just wanting a serene "country-style" environment, bus transportation to and from the city centre and all sights were cheap and convenient from right outside Casa de Ana. The accommodation was suberb, well-equipped for self-catering and the gardens are beautiful, shady and tranquil, perfect for relaxing in the late afternoon heat.
Complaints about accomodation:None, whatsoever!
Good bars and restaurants:Many excellent restaurants within 700m radius of Casa de Ana.
Bad experiences in Granada:Do look at the menus carefully before ordering. We found that some city restaurants and bars will charge you an additional 8% IVA as well as another 8% "table" charge over and above the bill. Other restaurants clearly state that all service charges and IVA are included in the item prices.
Suggestions:Casa de Ana is highly recommended. We're already planning our next visit.
