Introduction:
This apartment would be
an excellent place to stay for a couple or small family unit.
Location:
Between the Arco de
Elvira and Plaza Larga on the Alhacaba. In the map below, the house
is
the star above the b where it says Alhacaba. The Alhacaba is on
a hill.
Downhill
is the Calle Elvira for lively nightlife (see
guide). Uphill is the very charming Albayzín full
of amazing views, little squares, tapas bars, open air restaurants
etc. The
arrow on the map below shows the route of the minibus which passes
every 15 minutes. The S are small corner shops. The numbers are restaurants.

Note: The house is on
a hill so it may not be a good idea if you are have
just had surgery. You
would need to be fit to push a child's pushchair.
Facilities:
Kitchen:
Well-equipped with fridge, cooking utensils, eating utensils
(such as plates and knives and forks), gas rings,
kettle, toaster, storage space, cleaning implements, and an automatic
washing machine.
Bathroom:
WC, large bath/shower, wash basin,
mirror. There is enough space for 2 people in the bath.
Lounge/Indoor
Dining area:
Fold down dining table and chairs. Sofa. Colour, DVD player, TV with cable conection
with over 50 channels including BBC world, CNN, and channels in several different
languages. There is no payment
option

Heating:
There are large powerful storage heaters in all the rooms.
Bedrooms:
1 bedroom with 140 x 190 cm double bed.
1 bedroom with 2 single beds 90 x
180.
There is storage space for clothes.
Main roof Terrace:
See photo at the top of the page. The terrace has excellent views of the old
city walls. It has a wooden table and 4 fold-down wooden chairs. It is
on the
same
level and has easy access to the kitchen. It is normally warm enough
to sit out in the evenings (after 9pm) from the start of April until the
end
of
October.
The downstairs
patio:
This is a very tranquil, cool area which would be an alternative to the roof
terrace in the middle of the day.
Children:
Children are charged at the same rate as adults. There is a baby cot which must
be requested in advance.
Parking:
You can drive directly to the house and park outside. If you prefer
you can put your car in an underground parking and get a taxi (it would
cost 30 euros per week). We provide explicit instructions with maps both
to the house and to the underground parking so that
your arrival to the house is very easy.
Internet: There is a free 1meg per second broadband
Internet conection. The signal is broadcast over all the house. You will
need a
laptop
computer or PDA with wi-fi to be able to connect.
